The teapot depicting Windy Miller with lid in the form of his hat and the pot raised on feet. Measures; 17cm. All consigned from a private collection and have been displayed. No boxes or certificates present unless mentioned. Some minor details may be missing.
19th century Staffordshire tea service decorated with stylised green flowers, comprising teapot, sucrier, cream jug, eight cups and saucers, slop bowl and dish . Surface marks throughout. Six cups have damage - 3 chipped and 3 major restoration. Largest dish: small crack to rim and chip to base rim. All saucers crazed, 8 cracked - 2 of which have restoration. Coalport early 19th century tea service decorated with flowers and highlighted in gilt, comprising teapot on stand, sucrier, cream jug, eight cups and saucers and slop bowl, the teapot with underglaze mark to base reading 'Coalport Improved Feltspar Porcelain. Patronised by the Society of Arts. The Gold Medal awarded May 30th 1820. J Rose & Co.', 24cm wide x 14cm high.. Surface scratches throughout. Plate 1: crazed and 5mm chip to underside rim. Plate 2: crazed. Bowl: wear to gilding and central flower paint faded. Sucrier: crazed and wear to gilding. Sucrier tray: crazed and crack running the width. Cream jug: crack across base of handle, wear to gilding on handle and spout. Teapot: chipped spout, hairline crack to body 8cm in region of handle, cracks to circumference of base, internal staining due to use, some crazing. 2 smallest cups: loss to gilding, one with minor crack to rim and crazing. Larger cups: 4 restored (stapled) handle, stained and crazed, 2 handles absent, 2 faded central flower, some wear to gilding. Saucers: 1) 2.5cm chip to rim, (2) 1cm chip to rim and cracks, (3) crazed and 3cm crack to base, (4) stained and crazed, (5) stained and crazed, loss to painted decoration, possible restoration to base rim. Late 19th Century brown glazed large Yi Xing teapot of ovoid form, impressed Zhuanshu mark to base, 31cm.Condition Report:No provenance available however come from a Scottish household, inherited.Lid is in fairly good condition apart from the triangular missing piece in rim. With a hairline crack from the top of the triangle to the outside of the edge rim.Body of the teapot:inside rim and gthe base has small chips/rough surface. Slightly rough with tiny chips. Three small exterior chips to outside of the rim 2mm. One larger 4mm x 2mm. Also slight scrapes to the body. No obvious cracks to the body interior or exterior.
Blue glazed Yixing teapot with reticulated basket work design to the body, coiled lid and faux bamboo handle and spout, signed to lid and impressed mark, 16.5cm. Condition Report:Believe it to be 20th Century. Max width 16.5 cm. Height including knop is just over 8.5 cm and the width of the base is just under 10.5 cm. Lid in good condition with two impressed marks to the interior.
