An extensive Royal Worcester bone china hop pattern dinner service comprising a pair of twin handled tureens and covers, serving bowl, meat plates, serving dishes, dessert plates, side plates, cups and saucers, gravy boat, teapot and cover, hot water jug, coffee pot and cover, twin handled dishes, etc. CONDITION REPORTS Light general wear. One saucer cracked and stained, and a large scratch to one dinner plate, but otherwise condition appears to be good. Contents include 2 lidded tureens, 6 soup bowls, 1 sucriere, sugar bowl, gravy boat and stand, cake plate, serving plate, oval platter, goblet, 12 teacups, 12 dinner plates, 12 dessert dishes, 12 salad/side plates, 12 teaplates, large jug, coffee pot, teapot, 4 small milk/cream jugs, saucers. They appear to be of 'first' quality, probably of different dates as backstamps do vary slightly with some backstamps being darker than others, and the printing of the decoration also varies very slightly in intensity of colour.
A collection of four 19th century Wedgwood basalt teawares comprising oval teapot and cover with reclining maiden finial, a globular teapot and cover, a helmet shaped cream jug, and a further baluster shaped jug, each with a broad frieze depicting classical figures in raised relief CONDITION REPORTS Swag decorated teapot has much of the spout missing and a replacement metal section, chips and frits to edges, lid is a poor fit and may be associated, lid with some chips, some losses to decoration which have chipped away and broken off and are now missing including quite extensive losses to swag and rope decoration, and a crack/join visible around the top edge of the body, base may have been re-painted and restored. Coffee pot/jug has lid missing, general wear and scuffs, and some frits to edges. Milk jug with chip to rim, some frits to foot rim, quite extensive bubbling to interior which has been painted/glazed over. Small teapot with wear and scuffs, some small frits, glazed to interior, small frit to spout.
