A MEASHAM BARGEWARE POTTERY TEAPOT late 19th century, with typical treacle glazed and sprig moulded decoration, impressed 'PRESENTED TO / MY MOTHER / FROM / ANDREW MOORE / 1889', 26cm high. Condition Report : Lid finial teapot with restored spout and handle, and three small flakes from rim; otherwise generally good condition. A Royal Doulton sovereign dinner and tea service (qty)The tea service contains approximately 119 pieces. The teapot lid has a large repiar where a piece has been broken off and glued back on. There is a small saucer which has a large verticle crack throughout. The saucer has been broken in half at one point with a remaining large chip still noticebly visible. the gold gilt has been heavily rubbed on some pieces of the service, with the majority of the service having areas of rubbing and the gold gilt missing. One jug in particular has a black scuff mark to the white china. A service has areas which need to be cleaned from staining.

Provenance: The Adams Gallery, London Sotheby's, London, 6 November 2007, lot 30, where purchased by Robert KimeThe present work was most likely painted in the early 1950s in Grant's studio at Charleston, the vase being on the high mantelshelf (where it can still be seen today in the same position, now with reduced spout). Pheasant-eye narcissi were a favourite of Bell's.We are grateful to Richard Shone for his kind assistance in cataloguing this work. Condition Report: Not relined. Breakages and nibbles to the foliage and flowers.Twin-handled cup - Some flower petals chipped and broken.Miniature tea set - cup broken and repaired (handle and a section to the rim). Firing crack to saucer. Teapot - small chip to spout. Generally some breakages and losses to the foliage and flowers on all three pieces.Gilt rose finial - Cracked. White rose thimble - small chip.Ring stand - Some substantial losses to flowers, two hairlines to the underside of the rim.

A Coalport cabaret service, circa 1835, comprising teapot and cover, cream jug and twin-handled sucrier, with a tray, pattern 3/180, mock sevres-style mark, tray 40cm wide (crack to foot of tray)Condition:Tray - there is a firing crack to the base, which has extended into a hairline. There is also a small nibble on the edge of the foot.Sucrier - there is a firing crack around the finial on the cover.The teapot and sucrier both have crazing to the glaze with some very slight yellowing.The end of the teapot spout is restored.Interestingly, the cream jug and tray have green decoration under the glaze, but the teapot and sucrier have decoration over the glaze, in a slightly lighter shade of green. In our opinion, both types are Coalport. The overglaze pieces have some scratches to the green ground.
