A WELSH LANDSCAPE ENGLISH PORCELAIN VEILLEUSE (tea-pot and warming stand) comprising miniature teapot over a tapered castle turret heating-stand and with circular base, gilded and decorated with views including Oystermouth Castle and Mumbles Head and Glenmire Bridge, Cork (titles to base of teapot) possibly painted by Philip Ballard at the London workshop of J Bradley & Co, circa 1820, 22cms high (assembled), Provenance: private collection London, 1953 dated letter to accompany from J Kyrle Fletcher Ltd antique dealers advising his client W Butt Esq of Bristol to purchase the veilleuse at £42 (letter with us) Auctioneer's Note: similarities to Ballard's decoration on the Swansea porcelain 'Biddulph Service' which is on display at the Glynn Vivian Gallery, Swansea Condition: hairlines to circular base, faint small hairlines to bottom of stand Comments: please view in person to examine condition on all pottery lots, viewing by appointment at Cardiff salerooms Two crenulations have been restored / reglued. The spout has a couple of small star-cracks in the glaze. The lid appears to be good. Base has multiple cracks.
VARIOUS FLOW-BLUE BLUE DECORATED WELSH POTTERY including Ynysmeudwy 'Rio' coffee-pot, Cambrian 'Lazuli' patterned toilet-jug and matching sponge-bowl and cover, three plates etc (10)Comments: please view in person to examine condition on all pottery lots, viewing by appointment at Cardiff salerooms Regarding the tall jugs, the tall white one has a chip along the spout, no other issues. The shorter darker jug looks good, no problems. The large teapot has a chip on the spout, the finial has been restored, there are hairline cracks and restoration to the base. There is also a star-shaped hairline crack on the inside base. The small cream jug looks good, no issues. The sponge bowl looks good, slight crazing on the inside at the centre. The large blue plate has a chip around the rim and lots of surface scratches. The small blue plate has restoration to the rim and again lots of surface scratches. The large green plate has surface scratches to the centre otherwise good. Finally, the pair of blue plates, both have surface scratches, little edge wear, kiln dust blisters but no chips or cracks.

GLORIA CZECHOSLOVAKIA 19TH CENTURY PART TEA SET An opulent 19th century bohemian porcelain part tea service by Gloria of Czechoslovakia. Teapot 22cm high - no damage. Teacup and 2 saucers - no damage. Milk jug - no damage. Sugar bowl lid finial off but included. Chocolate brown ground, heavily gilded with decorative panels.
A Tibetan silver teapot 18th century, the teapot is chased and engraved all over with scrolling foliage motifs, elaborate lotus petal borders and various other flower patterns. Both sides of the body are decorated with central stylized cloud-shaped cartouches decorated with two figural scenes. Flanked by a dragon shaped handle, and a makara shaped spout. 25 cm high. Provenance: Purchased from Christies in the 1970s by the vendors father
