dating: 1780 - 1800 provenance: France, Smooth-bore, three-stage, 15 mm cal. barrel, first octagonal, then faceted and finally round, with a small moulded muzzle at the nozzle. Base with remains of marking 'TORDU' and 'BESA...'. Lock with slightly roundish plate, in iron. In working order. Wooden, half stock with grip, chiselled and carved with in-the-round animal's head. No ramrod. Iron mounts, rear reinforcement band and a long band in the lower part that runs from the grip's pommel until the front part and acts as a barrel bracket. length 26 cm.
dating: Mid 18th Century provenance: Italy, Smooth-bore, two-stage, 15 mm cal. barrel, octagonal and round, with rings and acanthus leaves in relief at the girdle, provided with brass-plated fore-sight, base with marks with remains of gilding. Lock with flat plate engraved with effigy of a character and signed 'Gaetano Botti', engraved cock and batterie. The batterie itself provided with a detachable safe/pan-cover. Wooden, half stock with brass-inlaid spirals. Brass mounts, pierced barrel bracket. Horn-tipped wooden ramrod and iron cartridge extractor. length 127,5 cm.
dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Italy, Round, smooth-bore, 18 mm cal. barrel, with octagonal breech, remains of stamps at the base. Backward spring lock, with flat plate, marked 'A. BORDONI / BRESCIA'. Wooden, long stock, brass trigger-guard and barrel bracket, slot for a bayonet and iron butt-plat. Iron ramrod. length 108,5 cm.
Ship's brass bell inscribed 'Norland 1974' H21cm including hanging bracket. Provenance: the Norland was a North Sea Ferries vessel sailing out of Hull and was used as a troop carrier during the Falklands War. The vendor is the widow of the Captain D.J. A late 19c German bracket clock by Lenzkirch in burr maple bell top case. The 12.5cm arched dial is signed for the retailer Botley & Lweis, Reading and has a silvered chapter ring and gilt spandrels. The glazed front door is flanked by canted columns and the sides have timber sound frets. The top has a carrying handle and brass corner finials and the bracket feet are of brass. The two train barrelled spring movement tingtang strikes on two gongs. 40.5cm tall overall.
An English Edwardian miniature longcase clock in high quality mahogany case with swan neck pediments to the hood and central urn finial. There is an area of carved decoration above the arched dial and freestanding fluted columns flank the 19cm brass arched dial which has Turks head spandrels and a strike/silent dial in the arch. The long trunk door has a wavy top and is flanked by fluted quarter columns. The base has canted corners and an applied front panel with indented corners and has bracket feet. The substantial weight driven movement has anchor escapement and is rack striking on a gong and the weights are brass bound. The clock stands 155cm tall.
