An Oak Eight Day Longcase Clock, signed Monks, Prescot, circa 1770, swan neck pediment, blue glass and gilt painted front panels, crossbanded trunk door, bracket feet, 13-inch arch brass dial with a silvered Roman and Arabic numeral chapter ring, inner date ring with corresponding central date hand, chequered dial centre with seconds dial and signed on a silvered plaque, arch with moonphase aperture and engraved on silvered plaques "Time shews the way of lifes decay" and "Time is valuable", four pillar movement with an anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell, 225cm highCase with small chips to the edges in parts, case otherwise looks clean, dial is clean, later movement seatboard, movement is clean and in going order and striking, with pendulum and two weights.

Astragal glazing with some repair work on the moulding (see images). Moulding replaced down the middle section. The base to the secretaire drawer has some splits which have been partly filled and polished. Small fault to the cock beading on the secretaire drawer. The smaller handles within the secretaire drawer are bone. With key and working lock.
A Walnut, Boxwood, Ebony-Strung and Oak-Sided Straight Front Chest of Drawers, the quarter-veneered and crossbanded top with re-entrant corners above three short and three long graduated oak-lined drawers, on later bracket feet77cm by 48cm by 81cmThe chest is sold undated, and has 18th century elements. The quarter veneered top is split (see photographs) as well as the oak side panels. With previous handle marks to the drawer fronts and restoration to the drawer linings. Later backboards and later bracket feet, otherwise cosmetically good.
A George IV Mahogany Linen Press, 2nd quarter 19th century, the arched pediment centred by a tablet of swags above a dentil cornice and two moulded cupboard doors below enclosing five oak-lined sliding trays, the base with two short over two long oak-lined drawers, on bracket feet125cm by 61cm by 217cmGood quality timber. Later handles. Some faults on the moulded cupboard doors. Interior has sliding trays. Small faults to the cockbeaded drawers - so there are some small veneer losses also (see images). The press is in reasonable original condition, however there are faults on the cupboard doors and there is varying splitting to the cockbeaded drawers and losses to the moulding throughout. The trays are oak lined. If being very critical there is a small gap on the doors (as photographed) - but this is very minor. Drawer linings are original. Locks present in all drawers and with key. The small sections of handles which are photographed are unfortunately missing. Handles are later.
A George III Mahogany Bureau Cabinet, 3rd quarter 18th century, the upper section with two bevelled mirror doors enclosing a fitted interior of two adjustable shelves above pigeon holes and drawers, all below a moulded arched architectural cornice centred and flanked by turned giltwood ball finials, the base with two candle slides above a sloping fall front with moulded book rest and shaped lockplate, enclosing a series of pigeon holes and drawers around a central cupboard, the frieze with two lopers and three small drawers, above three long graduated drawers, shaped lockplates and similar drop handles and backplates, on bracket feet109cm by 61.5cm by 240cm The mirror plates are tarnished. Excellent quality timber, however it is slightly faded but with a uniform colour. The fall front has some bruising/scratches. End panels with natural? splits (see image). Small veneer losses around the front and the bracket feet. Scratches and scuffs to the interior consistent with age. Original brasses.
An Arched George II Mahogany Bureau Bookcase, circa 1750, the broken moulded pediment and turned finial above a sun burst marquetry panel, the moulded cupboard doors with later mirrors enclosing an arrangement of shelves, pigeon holes and small drawers all around a central arched cupboard door with pull-out candle slides below, the fall enclosing an attractive fitted interior, the base of four oak-lined graduated drawers, on bracket feet, 105cm by 58cm by 240cmGood quality timber. Slighty faded but uniform colour. There is a section missing to the moulding on the mirrored doors. There is also a small section of moulding missing above the lock where it has been forced open. Small section of timber missing on the corner of the fall. Small scratches (some deep). Side panels with general strengthening work around the bracket feet and small sections of moulding replaced around the base. Interior is generally good with just some deep scratches. The drawer are oak lined and run freely. Brasses seem to be original. The upper section interior is in good condition with the exception of the backboards which have some splitting.
A Dutch Walnut Eight Day Striking Longcase Clock, signed Pieter Gib, Rotterdam, 18th century, caddied pediment, pierced fret panels, arch trunk door with glass lenticle, scroll plinth with bracket feet, 12-1/4-inch arch brass dial with silvered chapter ring signed, dial centre with seconds dial and date aperture, arch with moonphase disc, five pillar movement with an anchor escapement, striking on the half hour and striking a larger bell for the hours, 241cm highHood with damages and losses to the pierced frets, case with later inlay, trunk door with veneer lifting and veneer missing to the inlaid stag image positioned just above the glass lenticle, case with some moulding missing and some mouldings are loose, trunk door with some outer moulding missing to the edges, dial is discoloured, seconds hand is missing, movement is dirty and needs cleaning. Pendulum suspension spring is broken, with pendulum and two weights.
A good late Victorian bracket clock by Goldsmiths and Silversmiths at 112 Regent Street, London. (C 1908) Fusee, two-train movement, chiming on a gong. Contained in an oak case with brass embellishments to case. Arch brass dial with maker name on a cartouche. 6" x 8". Case overall 9" x 14" (top of handle) x 7" deep. Condition report: Good condition: restored by owner who was a clock and watch repairer. Winding key present. Movement working but not fully tested. A/F.
