A rare musical bracket clock, the engraved brass dial with flower corners and decorative urn to the arch with sweep tune hand, the tunes engraved to the arch top are played each hour on a carillon of ten bells, each hour striking a single bell, engraving to the back plate, the verge movement with full repeat cords for music and hour strike, in an ebony case with inverted bell top, (c1770) by William Hunter, London, 56cm high
A George III documentary slope front bureau bookcase, with it a manuscript label inscribed "This desk was made by Robert Bradley, apprentice of Thomas Athertons when sirved 3 1/2 years when began of it and made for Joseph Hayhurst, Clogger, Horsmarkit, Warrington, Lancashire, March 20th in the year of our Lord 1793". The upper section with a pair of doors with square and rectangular panes and astragal bars. The interior with marquetry and pen work over two short and three long graduated drawers, flanked by quadrant columns on ogee bracket feet.. Width 54ins, height 84ins.
An exceptional, George III, large oak Welsh dresser, the upper section with three open shelves before broad back boards, the base with an arrangement of four drawers and a central small drawer around a pair of arches, the front with three slender urn turned pillars, joined by an open pot board, the whole on bracket feet. Width 70 ins., height 94 ins., maximum depth 17 ins. (See illustration)
