A late 19c French boullework bracket clock in waisted case decorated with ormolu mounts and surmounted by a vase of fruit and flowers, the 4""diam gilded dial has inset enamel numeral plaques with blue Roman numerals, below the dial is a glazed aperture decorated with an ormolu mask through which the sunburst pendulum can be viewed. The circular movement is rack striking on a bell, 13.5"" tall overall.
An unusual mantel clock with arched brass dial signed T Agius Melitae (Malta) fixed to a posted iron frame with brassed sheet side and rear covers, sitting on a wooden base with arcaded carving to the sides. The dial has a five sided arch and it is engraved all over with foliage, animals and birds and baskets of fruit and has an applied engraved chapter ring engraved with the above name. The case now contains a 19c British double fusee bracket clock movement rack striking on a bell, 13"" tall overall.
An early 19c eight day longcase movement with associated late 18c 12"" arched brass dial signed Frewin, Hereford with engraved dial centre, female head spandrels and a Tempus Fugit boss in the arch. The movement is of standard four pillar rack striking pattern with anchor escapement. It is contained in an early 19c oak and mahogany case with swan neck pediments to the hood and fluted columns flanking the dial. The trunk has fluted quarter columns and a short trunk door with fixed panel below. The door has a central shell inlay and it and the fixed panel have mahogany edge crossbanding. The base has an applied rectangular panel and bracket feet, 86"" tall overall.
An early 19th century mahogany longcase clock, the broken swan neck pediment above arched painted dial set with date aperture, subsidiary seconds and eight day movement inscribed "R.Wyatt, Plymouth", above arched door flanked by fluted freestanding turned pilasters to a plinth base and bracket feet, approx 222cm. There is a Robert Wyatt listed as operating in London c.1811. CONDITION REPORT: Well restored throughout.
A George III North Country oak and mahogany crossbanded bureau bookcase, the upper section with two doors enclosing shelves and two drawers above a base with fall front enclosing a fully fitted interior above four long graduated drawers flanked by quarter cut turned pilasters to ogee bracket feet, 101cm.
A walnut feather banded chest on chest, the upper section with moulded cornice above three short and three long graduated drawers above a base with brushing slide and three long drawers raised on bracket feet, width 109cm, height 185cm, depth 55cm. CONDITION REPORT: The brass work has been reapplied and rehandled, there are plugged hallmarks where the drawer fronts have been repaired, there are some losses to the veneer throughout, the side of the carcass of both upper and lower sections is crossbanded and there are some bruises and knocks to the beadwork moulding. It is likely that the construction of this piece is from 18th century timbers reconstructed in c.1900.
