William Cribb, London, a Regency rosewood and brass mounted timepiece of small proportions, the rectangular case with arched glazed panels to the four sides, countersunk brass handle to the top, the 7cm arched silvered dial signed above 'Willm Cribb London', Roman numerals, 4 pillar fusee movement with offset escapement, slightly arched plates, adjustable bob pendulum, all on four turned brass feet, now with a later made wall bracket 19 x 12½cm (7 x 5in) Case is in need of attention with some sections and mouldings loose or damaged; few pieces are taped in place. Appears to tick, but not tested for any duration. The bracket is 20th century made to match.

A WILLIAM III WALNUT AND MARQUETRY CHEST OF DRAWERS, C1700 with grotesques and curling foliage to the top, drawers and sides, the drawers lined with Keene's Bath Journal newspaper 1845, 93cm h; 58 x 98cm++Originally with bun feet now with later replacement bracket feet. The locks all present and probably original, lacking the escutcheon, the lacquered brass ring handles old replacements. Of pleasing dry colour but much encrusted with dirt and polish with one or two veneer replacements in the usual places, ie drawer edges. The backboards original but somewhat warped, these and some other parts wormed but not the subject of recent restoration/clean/ repolishing
