A pair of 19th century satinwood cutlery urns, each with a brass and turned vase finial and inlaid with chequer and feather stringing, the revolving pull-up top revealing a tulipwood veneered interior with forty apertures, above a square plinth base with tulipwood banding and green stained sycamore and boxwood stringing, on bracket feet, 67cm high, 26cm diameter. (2).

Lot 122

A George III Irish mahogany tall chest, of eight graduated drawers, on bracket feet, 161.5cm high, 84.7cm wide, 48.1cm deep.Provenance: Lady Dorothy Elma Hornby nee Fry, wife of Sir Henry Russell Hornby, Bt, (1888-1971), 2nd Baronet of Brookhouse, of Barraclough, Clitheroe, Lancashire and thence by descent. Lot 122 – the Irish tall chest.  This is in generally good condition but it has had some restoration at some stage.  There is a small chip to the back right return moulding.  Some old chips to the corners of the drawers.  One has been repaired.  Some hairlines to the drawers also and some small chips to the timber between the drawers.  Two of the handles have damages with losses and wear to the brass.  General surface wear consistent with age and use.  The locks have been replaced and there are some cracks to the drawer linings.  Some hairlines to the sides.  A chip to the back left corner of the top and a repaired chip to the front left corner.  Overall it lacks a little depth to the patination where it has been cleaned at some stage.

Lot 123

An early George III mahogany bureau, the interior fitted with an arrangement of pigeon holes and drawers above four long graduated drawers and bracket feet, 108.2cm high, 94.6cm wide, 53.6cm deep.   Lot 123 – George III mahogany bureau.  This is in generally good restored condition.  There are two small corner patches to the back edge of the top.  Some minor hairline cracks to sides.  The lock has been replaced to the fall.  Some cracks to drawer linings.  General surface wear consistent with age and use.   Overall very nice timber and colour.  A good piece.

Lot 39

A George III oak dresser, the raised plate rack with a wavy edge frieze and with three shelves, the base fitted with an arrangement of six drawers and two cupboards, with fielded panel doors, all fitted with gilt brass handles, 209.7cm high, 198.4cm wide, 51.4cm deep. Lot 39 – an oak dresser.  Two metal hooks missing to the plate rack.  Old chips and minor damage to the return mouldings on the cornice of the plate rack with some cracks to the sides.  Old surface wear marks and scratches consistent with age and use to the base. The doors are a little warped.  Some minor losses to cock beading on drawers.  Old wood worm and cracks to drawer linings.  Some water damage to the varnish on the bracket feet.  Some old chips to the moulded edge on the plate rack.  The base sections are possibly associated.  One support has been replaced.

A George II mahogany standing corner cupboard, with a pair of arched fielded panel doors enclosing a green and parcel gilt painted interior, with three shaped shelves and fitted with three spice drawers with brass knob handles, on bracket feet, 144cm high, 89cm wide, 54cm deep.   Lot 75 - Mahogany corner cupboard - old chips and cracks to cornice and frieze. General surface wear, with old marks and scratches. The right door warped slightly. Handles later. Lock missing. Minor cracks to doors. Old cracks and chips to feet. Some back boards loose. One drawer handle replaced.

Lot 83

A 19th century mahogany serving table, the rectangular plum pudding top above a dentil and blind-fret frieze in the Chinese Chippendale style with a drawer with pierced corner brackets on conforming legs and block feet, 83cm high, 209.4cm wide, 71.5cm deep. Lot 83 – Chinese Chippendale style serving table.  There is a slight bow to the top with old hairline cracks, dents and some water stains.  A section of the moulding on the back edge is missing.  A section of veneer to the back right corner of the edge is missing with further small chips.  Old damage to the fret panels on the front left leg.  Old chips with losses to the dentil cornice on the frieze.  Some old cracks to legs.  Further small chips and losses to fret carving on frieze and legs.  The back right corner bracket has been b4roken but we do have the pieces.  General surface wear.  There is a gap between the drawer and the left hand section.

A rosewood book case, 19th century, with cushion moulded cornice, above two rectangular glazed doors enclosing shelves, on a pedestal base with two pairs of cupboard doors, on bracket feet, 211cm high x 139cm wide x 37cm deep CONDITION REPORT: some overall discolouration to the front, minor dents and old scratches throughout, with a scratch to the top of the base to the left hand side, small section of veneer missing from bottom pane divide to right hand door, repair to veneer of internal shelf lip, no cracks to the glass, locks in working order, with key, overall in good/fairly good condition with minor blemishes.
