Lot 453
A Georgian mahogany bureau, with slope front above four long drawers with brass drop handles and raised on bracket feet, alterations. Width 69 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The bureau is structurally sound. The flap is not warped and the hinges are sound and secure. The lock is in place but we have no key. The lock escutcheon is old but a later replacement. The sides of the bureau are in generally good order with only minor stress fractures. The drawer fronts are all in good order and all cockbeading is present. The bracket feet are in good order. The backboards are original.

A French Empire style four branch gilt brass electrolier, with suspension chain above a wreath and arrow in turn above a turned column with anthemion band, with four scrolling arms. Height 55 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The electrolier appears to be in very good condition. All four branches are complete with no movement. The centre column is in good order. The chain and supporting bracket are in good condition. The original finish to the brass is also generally in good order with only minor blemishes. The wiring looks to be in good order and the bulbs with the piece are modern LED bulbs suggesting that the piece has come straight from use.
