An oak Gothic revival armchair, in the Pugin taste. Circa 1850, with paterae carved top rail, moulded scroll arms carved with trefoil terminals, drop-in seat with carved square section legs and stretchers on stout brass capped porcelain front castors, height 92cm, width 57cm, depth 56cm.By repute originally removed from Council chambers in Walsall after a refurbishment.The stretchers are separated at the front legs and at the rear of the seat, this has not affected the solidity of the chair. wear and scratches consummate with age.One decorative bracket to the underside of the seat lacking, tears to the upholstery. With pierced heart motif on bracket feet, height 102.5cm width 92cm, depth 24cm.There is a glued small break on the front left foot, otherwise just minor knocks, rubs and abrasions commensurate with age.The colouring of the timber appears to be natural fading/aging. The shelves retain the original fixings.

John Prichard of London Bracket Clock. Inverted bell top and carrying handle contained in a mahogany case with glazed sides and back. With 8" round silvered dial with engraved centre of flowers and swags. Arabic and Roman numerals. With two-train 8-day verge fusée movement striking on a bell with pull repeat. Engraved backplate with swags.Condition report: Clock has been restored and was ticking at time of consigning. Movement not fully tested. Overall good condition, finials to case top possibly a replacement.
A Thomas Moore of Ipswich three-train verge table clock. Striking on 8 bells and a single bell, with a six pillar fusée movement and verge escapement. Engraved backplate with makers name 'Thos Moore Ipswich'. Contained in an ebonised case with brass architrave, four brass pineapples on the top corners. Brass carrying handle. Glazed panels to sides and a glazed back door. Raised on a brass base with four brass bracket feet.8" arch brass dial, mask and Rococo-style spandrels. Cartouche: 'Thos Moore of Ipswich below 12 o'clock', strike silent in the arch. Dimensions: 23" (to top of handle) x 13" x 8". Condition report : A good clock restored by seller and working at time of cataloguing. Good condition with winding key and one door key. Movement not fully tested.Note Thomas Moore is listed as working in Ipswich in the early 1700s and his work is of very good quality.
