Great Eastern Railway 6inch Mahogany cased Fusee Bracket clock supplied to the G.E.R. by Bevan of Tottenham London circa 1880. The English chain driven fusee movement has rectangular snailed plates, the dial has been re written to its original style with GER 822 and retains its original cast brass bezel with a keyed lock. The Gothic style case has a glazed rear door with the GER ivorine numberplate 822 screwed to the inside. The L.N.E.R. records show that this clock was used at Liverpool Street Station Goods Manager. A rare and unusual Railway timepiece used by senior employees, complete with pendulum and keys and in working condition but not tested for timekeeping, stands 15in tall.
London & North Western Railway 6inch Mahogany cased Fusee Bracket clock supplied to the LNWR. by John Walker of London circa 1910. The English fusee movement has rectangular plates and the original dial has L.N.W.R. JNo Walker 1 South Molton St W To H.M. The King painted on and retains its original cast brass bezel. The mahogany case has a rear door with a lock. A nice Railway timepiece used in offices, complete with pendulum and keys and in working condition but not tested for timekeeping, stands 12.5in tall.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: North Africa, Smooth, iron, octagonal, 13 mm cal. barrel with rear sight at the base and foresight, engraved over all of its length; engraved tang; beautiful flintlock decorated with engraved brass and silver plaques. Full wooden stock decorated with plaque and filigree inlays, the bone butt-plate painted with red and green circles. The barrel bracket with three bands engraved in silver foil. Ramrod. In this quality definitely made for a chief's son. length 81 cm.
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: France, Rifled, round 17,8 mm cal. barrel, provided with clutch for the bayonet, foresight, adjustable and folding rear sight, dated '1851' and with 'VL' mark surmounted by a fleur-de-lis, some pitting and remains of other marks. The inner side with signs of use, groove still well defined. Backward spring lock marked 'LOUIS MALHERBE A LIEGE' and with 'VL' mark surmounted by a fleur-de-lis coeval to the barrel. Working mechanics. Long, wooden stock with remains of Liege stamp on the butt side, the 'VL' stamp is repeated several times under the fleur-de-lis. Iron mounts; Barrel bracket, muzzle ring and ramrod probably replaced. It preserves the rare 'a tige' system inside the breech. This type of rifle was initially equipped with the 'a tige' system invented by M. Thouvenin and applied to rifled weapons from 1846 onwards. As early as 1859-1860, most of the weapons equipped with this system were converted by removing it. This is a rare example that survived the conversion. See 'Armes a Feu Francaises Modeles Reglementaires' by J. Boudriot, chapter 'LES ARMES A TIGE'. length 121 cm.
dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Great Britain, Round, 15 mm cal. barrel with remains of rifling, pitting, with foldaway and adjustable rear sight (restoration at the base), featuring marks of the test bench on the breech and '25'. Forward spring lock dated '1860', marked 'TOWER' and with crown. Working mechanics. Full wooden stock. Brass mounts, without ramrod. Iron barrel bracket. length 140 cm.

MERIDEN CONN.'; forward spring lock, signed 'PARKERS SNOW & Co MERIDEN CONN.', 'US', '1864' and with American Eagle. Wooden, full stock with mounts (butt-plate marked US' and barrel bracket 'U'), ramrod missing. Scarce. See Flyderman's, 9th Edition, page 574. length 122.5 cm.
dating: 18th Century provenance: Europe, Octagonal and round, smoothbore, two-stage, 15 mm cal. barrel at the nozzle, with rings at the girdle; the first segment richly decorated with carving and a large mask surmounting three stripes with grotesque creatures; the second part with small racemes decorations and thin, dorsal rib. The tang with decorations that continue the design of the barrel and provided with a saddle sight. Lock with raceme carvings both on the lock plate and the cock, the back of the batterie en suite. The wooden stock with heavy signs of use and time but apparently without cracks, the front segment with remains of checkering. Beautiful iron mounts decorated with racemes and spirals in relief, the counterplate engraved. The butt-plate with tangs that tend to slip off. On the trigger guard, partially pierced, perhaps an acronym 'I 1' (?). Brass-wire barrel bracket (probably later). Missing ramrod. Working mechanisms. length 56 cm.
