Late 16th cent., The interior carved with a large kylin (qiling) surrounded by clouds. The exterior with a band of joint lotus petals incised with flower scrolls. all under a thick and lustrous celadon glaze. the firing ring under side oxidized orange. Due to accelerated cooling, crackled glaze. A hair pin external crack going from the rim to the back, ending 2 cm before the foot. Signs of wear due to age. Provinance an old collection from Manila. Size 41.5x41.5 cm.
