An early 20th century oak writing bureau, the fall flap with two decoratively carved panels revealing an interior fitted with pigeon holes, drawers etc., and having one long, two short and two further long drawers with extensive carved detail, brass drop loop handles and shaped pierced back plates, raised on shaped bracket supports (as viewed 69cms).

A George III silver vase shape tea urn by Charles Wright, London 1770, the waisted cover with a vase finial, beaded rims and twin loop handles, an ebony spigot and on a square base with bracket feet, engraved with a crest and an armorial, 51cm (20in) high, 2650g (85.2 oz) gross (the cover and base unmarked). See Grimwade no. 428 and the biography on p. 711. The mark no. 428 of 1775 is the first recorded mark of Wright on his own but the 1773 parliamentary report shows him working alone at Ave Mary Lane. It is well to note that there was a missing register at Goldsmiths Hall prior to 1773. The crest and the arms of RADCLIFFE impaling BOARD or BOURDE of Ireland.
