A scarce Raleigh Chopper Mk1. Dating from 1969, in the original orange livery, fitted with Sturmey Archer three speed gears, with original round gear knob, black vinyl seat with orange strap, side stand, plated handle bars, mudguards, lamp bracket, front and rear brakes, rubber pedals with reflectors, round reflector to the rear with black rubber tyres pumped up. GC overall but wear commensurate with age. Some deterioration to front tyre walls. See Back Cover
2 Railway lamps and a cycles lamp. 2 hand held railway lamps, one a ‘Welch Patent’ British Railways Eastern Region square sectioned unpainted steel and copper lamp. With four round clear glass windows, hinged opening door for access to wick with wick adjuster to one corner. Copper topped with hinged opening vent, connected via chain to a hinged handle. The base serves as an oil sump and is equipped with a screw filler. Plus, another later BR style round black painted hand held guard’s lamp, with red, green and clear aspect lenses. Also a Lucas bicycle lamp. An example painted in black with adjustable fitting bracket to rear, clear round lens to front with rectangular green lenses to sides. QGC-GC for age some age wear/patina overall. Plate 3
