A GEORGE III PAD TOP MAHOGANY BRACKET CLOCK the case with brass moulded centre pad and folding handle above a glazed door enclosing a 7.5" arched brass dial with gilt spandrels and silvered Roman chapter ring surrounding a silvered signed centre, the arch with Strike/Silent dial fronting a signed eight-day double fusee movement with five knopped pillars and engraved border to the backplate striking on a bell42cm high The case has been repolished and the two top side moulds have been replaced, the back door has some splits and repaired patched of veneer and the lock is missing, the mask around the dial has also had some repairs. The dial has fine stress cracks and some discolouration to the silvering. The movement, which is original to case and dial, has been converted from verge to anchor escapment and is ticking but the strike isn't stopping sand will need attention.

A GEORGE II PULL QUARTER REPEATING VERGE BRACKET CLOCK the ebonised case with inverted bell top pediment above a glazed door with pierced sound frets enclosing a 7" arched brass dial with gilt masked spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with mock pendulum aperture, the arch with subsidiary calendar dial fronting an eight-day double fusee movement with verge escapement and scroll engraved backplate striking the hours on a bell and pull quarter repeating on six bells46.5cm high not including handleThe dial and movement are original to the case. The case has some detached mouldings above the door which are present. The movement is running and striking the correct hours, repeating the correct quarters. The back cock looks to have been replaced and the strike silent lever is missing. The verge escapement has probably been reconverted but if so has been done very well with no signs of plugged holes. The pull quarter repeat mechanism loos to be original to the clock and so do the brackets, they are made from the same coloured brass.

The 13" arched brass dial with gilt masked spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted engraved centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, the arch with signed silvered plaque above a rotating moon dial, tune selection lever for Psalm 95, Britons Strike Home, and Charles Dragoons fronting a substantial three train eight-day weight driven movement chiming on six bells and twelve hammers every three hours and striking the hours on a bell. - Provenance details are on the back of the door, an image has been attached.212.5cm highThe clock is in good unrestored condition, the case has a small piece of moulding missing above the hood door on the right side, and there is a shrinkage joint to the base. The movement is original to the case and is complete with the original seatboard. The movement is very dirty but is working and sounds nice when chiming. It will need cleaning and servicing. Comes with weights and pendulum. A very nice honest clock.

The hands have been possibly replaced. The movement which is original to the dial and case has its original verge escapement and looks to have been recently serviced and is in nice working condition striking the correct hours, and comes with winding keys and door keys.

Would benefit from wax. the dial has its original paint which is crazed but stable, there is a small area of repair at 8 o'clock where the dial foot would be attached. The hands are original, and the quality movement is original to the case and dial and is complete. Ticks when wound and strikes/repeats the correct hours. Missing door key. The movement is dirty and will require a service.

They have serviced it regularly and was working when we removed it from the premises. The case has a few small knocks on the mouldings and two small splits on the trunk door. Images have been uploaded. The dial has light marks on the silvering. The movement is clean and in good working condition with original pendulum. Comes with winding key and door keys.

The top has been sanded and the veneer is very thin with a split running left tonight and small losses to the back corners of the herringbone. The front and sides have good original colour and polish. The handles are replacements. Small pieces of veneer missing from around the drawers. The bracket feet are original and one is loose.

The movement is complete, with original verge escapement and rise and fall pendulum. It ticks when wound but is dirty, and would benefit from cleaning and servicing. The case has its original colour and polish, the top has a small split running from front to back underneath the handle. the sound frets on the side have small losses around the veneer. the silvered dial is original and has scratch marks and stains consistent with age. The front door lock has a working key. No winding key.

AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY MINIATURE VERGE BRACKET CLOCK the kingwood veneered case with moulded pediment and tapered sides enclosing a 4 3/4" arched brass dial with gilt winged cherub head spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with mock pendulum and calendar aperture, the arch with Strike/Silent dial fronting a five pillar double fusee movement with verge escapement31.5cm high not including handle The case is period but probably associated with movement and is in good original condition, the movement is original to dial and is 18th century. The dial original gilding and the chapter ring seems to have been resilvered. The movement is complete and in working condition with original verge escapement, striking the correct hours on the original bell. There are no plugged holes in the backplate, and no obvious signs that the movement is associated but in our opinion the case is continental.

Nice colour and patina to the case, there's a small piece of moulding missing from the top right side, the right side of the case has losses to the polish, the back door is original but has been re-veered, the dial is in good order having original paint with crazing to the ground but very stable, the movement is original to case and is ticking and striking/chiming the quarters and hours correctly but is dry and will need a service.

The bottom section has a loose mould tot the left corner and a small piece which is missing, the handles are 19th century replacements. The bracket feet are original, There are no splits to the sides. The polish is sun bleached on the lower section. See images uploaded. There are a few old worm holes to the front of the left door .

The threads are ceased and cannot undo. The telescope is slightly lose on the neck bracket. This must have been made like this for travelling and may have had a travel case originally? The telescope works well and has no damage. It could have originally had an extension piece to make it eye level? A very unusual nice object.

There is some slight pitting in the silvered chapter ring.

The 12" square brass dial with gilt urn spandrels and Roman chapter ring surrounding a matted engraved centre with calendar aperture fronting a weight driven movement with latched plates and outside countwheel striking on a bell209.5cm high the movement is original to dial and is complete and ticking but is dirty may require a service, the steel hand is original, the bottom door hinge is loose, the case is in good condition having original colour and patina, the trunk has original lock but no key, a small patch repair on the front of the lock on the trunk front, the base has a small horizontal crack, the bottom mould is later, the clock would've originally had a plinth or bracket feet, the glass panel is original but the paint is worn.

The case has a good original colour and polish. There is a small piece of veneer missing from the side edge of the front door approximately 12mm long. The feet have been replaced and one is missing. There is a very small chip in the top right corner mould. One of the finials is missing. The sound frets to the side of the case have been replaced. The movement and dial are original to the case. The dial has its original gilding. Losses to the silvering on the chapter rings. The hour hand has been replaced. The movement has its original verge escapement and is ticking and striking the correct hours but is dirty and will require a service. Comes with its original winding key. No door key.

The case with geometric moulded front, side frets and lion head carrying handles; mounted on a moulded plinth with turned wood bun feet49cm high The case has some patches of missing polish to the sides, there's a joint split in the veneer also to one side, the front has two splits in the veneer, one running down the left side and one to the right side below the dial. There is missing veneer to the back door and 3 old wormholes to the right, the interior of the case has also got worm damage. The paint is original on the dial but is crazed in places with minor losses to the outer edge. The movement is original to case and is complete with the original pendulum with no alterations, although very dirty and will need restoring.

The dial looks to be enamel but has been restored. There is also a small split to the front door just above the brass bezel. The movement which is original to the case and the dial is in working condition and striking the correct hours, one of the fixing brackets has been replaced. The minute hand has been replaced also.
