A George III mahogany and brass line-inlaid Longcase clockBy Joshua Harrocks, Lancaster The case with swan-neck pediment above fluted uprights, above a trunk with arched door and quarter-fluted columns, on plinth base with canted angles, ogee bracket feet, the 13in arched brass dial with unusual cherub mask spandrels, signed in the arch with moonphase aperture, silvered chapter ring with Dutch influence arcaded outer minute ring, foliate engraved centre with seconds subsidiary, the twin train movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on a bell, (2 weights and 1 pendulum)249cm high overall Condition Report The clock is in overall good condition. The case appears to have been cleaned and some polishing done. The inlay is brass. There is some splitting to the plinth and the corner mouldings have parted at their joint. The clock had been running until fairly recently before consignment. The dial has some surface dirt to the silvered centre. The movement appears clean and in good order.

A George III small giltmetal-mounted ebonised bracket timepiece with pull-quarter repeat By John Ellicott, London, circa 1760The inverted bell-top case with brass carrying handle above a moulded pediment, the glazed front door with arched panel, the back door similar, flanked to each side with two glazed panels, on plinth base and block feet; the 5in. arched brass dial, signed John Ellicott, London on a silvered roundel to the arch, above silvered chapter ring enclosing a matted centre, blued steel hands and calendar aperture, the chain fusée movement with four turned pillars, anchor escapement (formerly verge) foliate engraved backplate, signed to the centre, with pull-quarter repeat on three bells, and with sliding bell-hammer block and fine quality repeat work below the dial; restorations, (1 pendulum)39cm highJohn Ellicott II succeeded his father of the same name. A Fellow of the Royal Society, he was appointed Clockmaker to the King. Recorded as working in 1728, he died in 1772. Condition Report (1 pendulum)The clock ticks when wound. It is a timepiece so does not strike the hour. However it is pull-quarter repeat which allows the user to pull a cord which comes through the side to give the last hour and quarter. This mechanism works but the cord needs replacing as it's broken and too short to go through the case.The movement was formerly verge escapement and has been converted to anchor. There are no frets or glass to the sides. The left hand edge moulding of the pediment is loose. The dome joints are split, secure but could be improved. The dial silvering is a bit flat and the wax infill to the chapters is lost in places. The brass frets in the door spandrels are replaced. Some veneer chips and losses to the dial surround fillet.The height with handle up is 38cm.

The case has some marks and knocks consistent with its age. Some veneer chips around the side grille panel openings. A chip to uppermost carving on the right side. Chips and old repairs around the back door veneer fillet. The dial has its original painted surface with some marks and scratches. Some chips and losses around winding holes. Some wear to chapters and minute ring. Substantial chain fusee movement with chimes working, and ticking when wound. Dirty requires a service. Left back foot is loose as thread is broken.
A mid-18th century featherbanded figured walnut bureau, the fitted interior over four long graduated drawers on bracket feet, 92cm wide x 108cm high. Condition Report In good overall condition for its age. The top has veneer splits. The hinges have been moved. There is minor loss of veneer all over. There is no key. The handles are later.

A Chinese Export silver punch bowl by Wang Hing & Co, circa 1900, the body decorated in relief with a dragon chasing his tail, below a pierced border containing further dragons chasing the flaming pearl, and raised on a scroll bracket pedestal base decorated with prunus blossom, marked 'WH 84' and with Chinese characters to the base, with further marks to the pedestal foot, presentation engraved, 48.6toz, 26 by 20cm high.
EARLY 19TH CENTURY WELSH OAK 8 DAY LONGCASE CLOCK marked 'Watkins, Abergavenny', having broken swan neck pediment above arched aperture flanked by plain turned columns, the waist with arch moulded door having inlaid shell motif on a panel base with bracket feet. Arch painted face with seconds dial and date aperture, Roman numerals and painted floral decoration. 16 x 12" dial approx. 8 day two train movement striking on one bell. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Overall in fair condition for age, case has quite a nice colour. The panel base has vertical splits to the boards. The face has some wear although legible. Includes pendulum and two weights.
18TH CENTURY 8 DAY BRASS FACED SHROPSHIRE LONGCASE CLOCK marked 'Webster ,Salop', the case having moulded flat hood above square aperture, moulded ogee pointed arch door to the waist on a plain base with skirted bracket feet. Brass face with Roman and Arabic numerals, seconds dial, date aperture and foliate spandrels. Two train movement with baluster columns striking on one bell, the face 12" square approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Overall appearing in good condition with nice colour. The cornice likely a replacement, the face very bright probably re-polished. Skirted feet may be a replacement. Includes pendulum and two weights.
W: 14.7cm Of rectangular shape with slightly flared sides rising to a lipped rim, enamelled around the exterior in grisaille with various blooms on leafy floral sprays, a band of foliate scroll at the rim, all reserved on a pale yellow ground, supported on four bracket feet, inscribed with a ‘Tihedianzhi’ (‘made at the Hall of Embodied Harmony’) iron-red four-character seal mark on the base, wooden stand. A George III mahogany chest of drawers, with three long drawers on bracket feet, height 87cm, width 102cm, depth 52cm.Condition report: There is wear that is indicative of its age and use. There is scratching on the chest top. There are some chip's to the corners, but these have aged well and are not fresh.This is a sturdy chest of drawers, there is no movement in the joints and all the drawers move smoothly.
A German stained beech wardrobe, late 19th century, with a pair of mirrored doors above a single drawer on bracket feet, height 193cm, width 129cm, depth 48cm.Condition report: There are some superficial scratches. We have one key that works both locks. Unusually, both key holes are upside down with the (smaller) key fitting in as normal. The drawer slides comfortably in and out. There are no obvious signs of worm. At its widest point it is 129cm with an inside depth of 42cm.This is a sturdy wardrobe in good condition.
