Welsh oak and mahogany longcase clock by George Sharratt-Ford, Newtown, Monmouthshire, circa 1840, the arched hood with swan neck pediment, supported by turned baluster pilasters, the painted dial with landscape to the arch and castellated buildings to the spandrels, the circular chapter ring with Roman numerals in a seconds chart, date crescent, eight-day movement, the central body with mahogany crossbanding and diamanted centre inlay with Asiatic pheasant highlighted with mother of pearl, quarter ringed pilasters, the box base similarly inlaid, cross-banded and on bracket feet, height 217cm.
Oak longcase clock, architectural pediment, the hood with engaged columns, long door, bracket feet, eleven inch square brass dial with seraphim spandrels, silvered chapter ring, subsidiary date aperture, signed Richard Hackett, Harringworth, thirty hour movement striking on a bell, height 211cm.Condition report:There is rubbing and losses to the wood on and just below the hood. One of the columns on the hood is pulling away. The finial is attached by blu-tack. There is a small vertical crack to the left-hand-side panel. The hinges have been replaced. There are cracks and evidence of woodworm to the base. One of the cogs has been detached. The weights and pendulum are present. Please see additional uploaded images.

Fine elsewhere.Large chest of drawers: water splashes and some ring staining to the top. The left hand side panel has a split along the grain extending the full height of the panel, almost dead centre. Drawers are sound. No woodworm.
Victorian oak and mahogany chest of drawers, with two short and three long graduating drawers, turned handles, bracket feet, width 92cm, depth 49cm, height 101cm.Condition report:Some natural splitting along the grain to the top, the top also has some historic darkened marks and scratches but in-keeping with age. The rest of the body is generally good, some further random splitting along grain lines to the side panels. Drawers are all sound and run well. Colour is even thorughout.

There is a partial split towards the bow front, approximately 5cm in from the edge but it appears stable. Some of the crossbanding is replaced on the rear left corner. The sides are generally ok, just some old marks and wear. The handles have been replaced. The drawers are all sound. Some of the moulded drawer outlines have losses.

Some of the boxstrung outlines have replaced lengths. Some scuffs and marks through use.
