An early 19th century mahogany longcase clock, with swans neck pediment with walnut veneer beneath, with painted dial and two-train striking movement flanked by reeded columns, the case with three quarter length trunk door also flanked by reeded and carved columns, the base raised on bracket feet. Height including spread eagle finial 212 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds o both trains. We have the pendulum but the suspensions is missing. When weight is applied to the going train the clock movement does tick. We cannot ascertain whether the clock is currently striking or not. We have the clock key and weights. The face is in good order with only minor surface scratches and a loss to the paint just below the numeral 1 which corresponds with a pillar fixing. The subsidiary seconds hand is missing. The pretty case is in generally good order. Neither door is warped. The only minor issue is that the bottom left hand return base moulding is missing.
An Edwardian inlaid mahogany gentleman's wardrobe, with moulded dentil cornice above a pair of doors enclosing pullout trays, the base fitted with drawers with brass drop handles with shaped backplates and raised on bracket feet. Width 101 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The wardrobe is in generally good condition. The moulded cornice is in good condition all round. The dentil cornice has two small losses, one at each corner. The crossbanded frieze beneath with the shell is in good condition all around. The sides of both the top and base are in good condition with only very minor blemishes. The doors are not warped and close as they should. The lock is present and we have the key. The lock escutcheon is probably later. The door fronts are in generally good order with only very minor blemishes. All drawer fronts are in generally good order with very minor small veneer nibbles. All handles and lock escutcheons are present and original. The bracket feet are in good order. Height 162 cm, depth at cornice 47.3 cm, width at cornice 101 cm.
A mahogany longcase clock, 19th century, having a drumhead top with carved foliate pediment, the silvered dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, with eight day movement, on an inverted tapering trunk with foliate corbals and raised on short bracket feet, 209 cm high (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This item is from a private seller. The clock is in good working order and has been working up until its removal to the saleroom. The date dial and seconds dial both work. There are what look to be tarnishing marks on the dial and for aesthetics you may like these to be cleaned up. The dial that is not tarnished has a nice toned appearance. The case is in good clean order throughout. The date mechanism operates as it should.
A pair of Regency style mahogany bowfronted small chests of drawers, each fitted with four drawers with brass drop handles and raised on bracket feet. Width 45 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both chests are in extremely good condition with no significant scuffs, marks, scratches or damage. All handles are present. There is no damage to any of the cockbeading. There are no watermarks and as stated only very minor imperfections. The chests could be used in there current condition without the need for any work.
An Edwardian mahogany grandmother clock, with swans neck pediment with fretwork panels beneath, the silvered dial with Roman numerals and moon phase to the arch, with two-train eight day movement striking on a gong, marked "Johnston & Co.", Glasgow, with long trunk door flanked by quarter column corners, the base raised on bracket feet. Height 201.5 cm (see illustration).
A Victorian mahogany bowfronted chest of drawers, with two short and two long graduated drawers with brass drop handles with embossed oval backplates and raised on bracket feet. Width 110 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Whilst the top is flat there are some stress fractures to the veneers and small losses particularly around the front corners. There are also old cracks to both sides however there is no movement. The drawer fronts are well figured and in good condition with no losses to the cockbeading. There are some nibbles to the edges of the drawer runners and sides where the drawers slide in and out. The bracket feet are in generally good condition with only very minor blemishes.
A George III oak and mahogany banded longcase clock, with swans neck pediment above the arched glazed door enclosing the silvered brass dial and two train striking movement with subsidiary seconds and date dials, with arched trunk door and raised on ogee moulded bracket feet, height 246 cm.
An antique oak dresser base, with moulded edge above a series of drawers with cushioned fronts and brass drop handles and with three panelled cupboards beneath, all raised on bracket feet. Width 187 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The cupboards have the original base boards but do not have any shelves. It does not look as if there were shelves originally. There are however later shelf supports half way up the side of each interior panel that have clearly been shelf supports. We do not however have the shelves themselves. Depth 55 cm, height 87 cm, width 189 cm. The dresser is extremely heavy and in very good structural order. The top is manufactured from two pieces of oak and there is a shrinkage gap between the two boards. There is however no movement. The top has very few significant marks or any damage to speak of. There is a loss to the very rear right-hand corner of the rear plank above the applied edge moulding. The sides are panelled and there are no splits to the panels. The drawer fronts do not appear to have any repairs or timber losses. The handles do have age but are probably not original. They go through the original handle holes. The lock escutcheons are clearly old but again unlikely to be original. All drawers have locks. We have no keys. All doors have movement at the hinges and need to be slightly lifted to close. The right-hand door has a partially missing handle. The plinth base moulding is in good condition all round. The front feet brackets are a little scuffed and knocked but have no significant problems. The backboards and floorboards are original and in generally good order with only one minor loss to the left-hand panel of the floor to the centre cupboard. The right-hand cupboard door left panel has a stress fracture. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.
An Edwardian inlaid mahogany bracket clock, in the Georgian style, with an arched top with round enamel dial and two-train movement above a stained floral inlaid motif, with brass carrying handle and shaped brass feet, height excluding handle 35 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The movement is fully wound on both trains, however it is ticking away and striking as it should when advanced. We have the pendulum. The clock case itself is in very good order. All brasswork is present. The case is in very good condition with no significant blemishes. There are no cracks. The dial is in first class condition and the movement appears very clean.
A George III mahogany serpentine fronted chest of drawers, being rosewood banded, the four long graduated drawers with brass drop handles with shaped backplates and all raised on splayed bracket feet. Width 114 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The chest top is in generally good condition with only minor veneer stress fractures across both front corners. All crossbanding and stringing are present although there has been some lifting and minor repairs to the crossbanding more so on the left-hand side. Both side panels have old stress fractures but there does not appear to be any significant movement. All drawer fronts are in generally good condition with no significant losses and only minor nibbles and small pieces of crossbanding replaced. The interior of the top drawer is segmented and baize lined. The handles whilst old are probably not original. The handles do however in the main go through the original holes and it looks as through these may have been the second set. The drawers are oak lined. The original bracket feet are in generally good order. There are some small veneer repairs between the drawer runners but again no significant problems.
A Regency rosewood and brass inlaid sewing box, early 19th century, the interior with fitted lift out drawer with mother of pearl accessories, width 26 cm, height 13 cm, depth 18.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The box is in generally very good condition with no missing or lifting brasswork. The lid closes as it should. The hinges are original. The interior lid lining is in generally good order with only minor blemishes. The cloth lining to the interior lift out tray is dirty and discoloured but has only some minor losses around the scissor apertures. All interior lids are present and there are some probably non-original mother of pearl effect fittings. Underneath the lift out tray there is some discolouration to the fabric. The box is structurally sound and has its original bracket feet. There are some minor stress fractures to the veneers on the rear panel but nothing of any significance.
A George III mahogany open oval wine cooler, with metal liner and brass bindings, with detachable stand raised on moulded legs with corner brackets, length 72 cm, depth 48 cm, height to top of scroll handles 58 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both scroll handles are in good condition with no cracks or losses. The staved sides are all in good condition all around with only very slight movement at the joins. The brasswork is original and in generally good order. It has slightly moved in places and there are brass polish marks. The interior base has old stress fractures but no real issues. The crossbanded frieze beneath the base moulding has numerous stress fractures and has had some small repairs. Two of the legs are slightly loose at the joints. All corner bracket supports are present. The timber onto which the crossbanding is veneered has old woodworm holes. There is also some filler and brown paint around sections of this softwood. There is a label beneath which says "This is the property of Farnsworth Ltd". There is a lead liner which lifts out and whilst misshapen appears to be in generally good order.

An Edwardian rosewood bracket clock, with three train Wurttenberg spring driven movement striking on four gongs, height 44 cm, width 32 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The movement is fully wound on all three trains and does not appear to be striking when manually advanced. It runs for approximately 30 seconds and then stops. The case is in generally very good condition with no significant damage at all. The top does not have any splits neither does the front panel and the door closes as it should. There is a small scuff to the veneer at the left-hand side on the second step of the base. All feet are original. The rear door closes as it should. We have the key and pendulum.
An early 19th century oak mahogany banded longcase clock by Iveson of Carlisle, with painted dial, 30 hour movement, date aperture, the case with quarter column corners and raised on ogee bracket feet, height 228 cm. CONDITION REPORT: We have the key and pendulum. The clock is currently ticking away. It is not striking. There is no bell. The face is in generally good order with some minor rubbing to the enamel to the left of the date aperture and to the left of the “I” Ivison. The case is in generally very good condition. Neither door is warped and there is no significant damage or any repairs that we can see. The bracket feet are original and in good order.

A George III oak and mahogany crossbanded dresser, with Delft rack, the rack fitted with a series of drawers, the base with three drawers above a centre panel and two panelled cupboard doors and all raised on bracket feet. Width 192 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Height to top of base 92 cm, overall height 198 cm, depth 56 cm. The cornice has a very small loss to the front left-hand corner. The shaped apron beneath is in generally good order with an old stress fracture at the top right-hand corner. The colour is good. The sides of the rack have the usual marks and the odd old hole indicating hooks. The shelves are in good condition with good colour to the fronts. All drawer fronts are in good order. One handle is old but a smaller later replacement. The top of the base is generally a good colour with no significant scuffing or scratching. There is no evidence of any bad ring marks or anything of that nature. The sides of the base are panelled and in good condition on both sides. There is no evidence of further handles when the drawers are inspected from the rear. The left-hand drawer has a small crossbanded repair to the bottom right-hand corner. The middle drawer has some minor nibbles to the cockbeading. The right-hand drawer has a small repair to the bottom left-hand corner. All drawers run smoothly. The left-hand cupboard door is in good condition. The middle door is missing some of the moulding around the centre panel. The right-hand door has small losses to the moulding. There are stress fractures between the planks on all doors. All bracket feet are original. The base moulding at the front has a crack and the whole of the left-hand side of the base moulding is loose. This would go back almost invisibly. It was damaged during transport.
