A satinwood inlaid mahogany bureau bookcase, the top with a cornice over an inlaid banded frieze with two similarly decorated astragal moulded glazed doors set over a roll top inlaid with a central patera enclosing a fitted interior with pull out baize lined writing slide over three long drawers, the whole raised on bracket feet, 206cm high x 91cm wide x 47cm deep
A pair of modern Chinese style blue and white square tapering jardiniers raised on bracket feet, approx 22.5 cm high, together with a set of four similar decorated oval jardiniers of flared form, approx 13 cm high, a twin-handled jardinier, approx 13 cm high and a similarly decorated tea caddy style pot with lid, approx 16.5 cm high
A 17th Century and later oak chest, the plank top with applied moulded edge over four long drawers with applied mouldings and brass drop handles, raised on bracket feet, 90 cm wide x 57.5 cm deep x 89.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS The top has various large splits both to the panelling and otherwise as well as a large patch to the left-hand corner. Various ring marks, surface scratches, etc. Both side panels have splits, the drawers do not all match - assume replacements throughout - see images for more details. Replacement handles and escutcheons. The top drawer has a large piece broken in the interior, piece is present but damaged. There is a large hole in the back of the cabinet. Unsure if the feet are original to the piece however have been on there clearly for some time - see images for more details. Otherwise general wear commensurate with age and use. A late 18c eight day longcase clock, the 14in square brass dial signed Charles Craig, Dublin and having Turks head spandrels, seconds ring and date aperture. The movement has ringed pillars, anchor escapement and rack strikes on a gong in the back of the case. The wood rod pendulum is suspended from the back of the case and the weights are brass bound. It is contained in a mahogany case with swan neck pediments to the hood and a heavy convex leaf carved moulding above the hood door with a central lions head. The hood has attached fluted columns with Corinthian capitals and the rectangular trunk door is glazed and has canted outer edges. There is a rectangular fixed panel below the dial and the base has a similar applied panel and bracket feet. The clock stands 95in tall overall.
A mid 19c boardroom type bracket clock by Joseph Eglese & Son, Bishopsgate St. London. The substantial triple fusee movement quarter chimes on eight bells and hour strikes on a gong. The pointed arch silvered dial has Gothic Roman numerals and subsidiary chime select, chimes/silent and pendulum regulation dials. It is contained in a Gothic style golden oak case with carved pointed top with three turned finials. Plain columns flank the dial and Gothic tracery is placed over the pointed arch front door. The stepped base has another line of tracery and carved bun feet and the case sides have wooden sound frets. The clock has a substantial wall bracket which needs repair to loose mouldings. The clock (without bracket) stands 29.5in tall.

Charles II brass lantern clock, John Ebsworth at ye Cross Keys in Lothbury, Londini (London), circa 1670, the 15.5cm diameter Roman dial with half hour divisions and inner quarter hour track framing engraved tulip decoration and Arabic alarm dial with iron single hand, the posted countwheel bell-striking movement with verge and crownwheel escapement, internal pendulum and standard London third period frame with column turned corner posts beneath dolphin-pierced frets, urn finials and strap work mounted bell, the sides with hinged brass doors, 38cm high, together with a later oak bracket Literature - Loomes, Brian, Lantern Clocks & Their Makers records John Ebsworth as apprenticed in 1657 to Richard Ames and free in 1665. his progression through the court of the Clockmakers Company saw him become Assistant in 1682, Warden in 1694 and Master 1697. he died in 1699. George III Irish mahogany bureau cabinet, the upper stage having a finely-carved swan neck pediment with dentil moulding, flower head terminals and central eagle with outstretched wings clasping an egg, in turn above Chippendale-style blind fretwork frieze and a pair of bevelled mirrored doors enclosing three adjustable shelves, the lower stage with sloping fall enclosing a typical arrangement of drawers and pigeon holes over green baize-lined writing surface, the front with four graduated long cock beaded drawers having brass swag handles on bracket feet, 102cm wide x 52cm deep x 243cm high Provenance - By repute from the estate of Mr E.S.
