A late 19th century Georgian style walnut bachelors chest, with turnover top, two and three long drawers with brass drop handles and crossbanded drawer fronts and raised on bracket feet. Width 74 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Width 71 cm, depth 29 cm, height 72.5 cm. The chest is in very good condition. It has clearly been through a workshop in fairly recent times. The top is not warped and has no lifting veneers. All drawer fronts are in generally good condition with only very minor nibbles to the crossbanding. The drawer linings are oak. The handles will be later replacements but go through the original handle holes. The bracket feet are in good condition. The right hand side front bracket foot has a scuff to the polish. The chest has clearly been re-polished as stated in recent times.
An early 19th century inlaid mahogany cased grandmother clock, with arched silvered brass dial and two-train striking movement by Richard Midgley, the case with long trunk door and raised on bracket feet. Case height 163 cm, dial width 22 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The clock case is in very good order with no issues other than very minor scratches and marks as one would expect. Neither door is warped. The silvered brass dial is in good original condition. The movement winds on both trains and runs and strikes when weight is applied to the mechanism. The only minor issue with the piece is that the suspension feather is missing.
A Regency mahogany Scottish drumhead longcase clock, with gilt painted dial with Roman numerals and with two-train striking movement, the trunk door flanked by quarter column corners and with panelled base raised on bracket feet. Height 205 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The clock is in generally good order. The movement is currently ticking and appears to be striking as it should. We have both weights and pendulum but no winding key. The face is in generally good condition with only minor rubs and surface marks. The hood is in good condition with no issues. The trunk door has had a small break to the top left hand corner. The piece has been glued and there are no losses. We have the key and the door locks. The door is not warped. The sides of the case are in good condition. The base of the case is also in good order with only minor marks and small scratches. The backboards are original.
A Victorian mahogany open bookcase, with rear pediment, adjustable shelves and fitted with two drawers to the plinth base. Width 97.5 cm, height 165 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The top has a 13 cm diagonal split to the centre and to the left of this there is 6 cm of what looks like a stain drip. There are four small indents to the rear of the top and a further six indents to the front. There is a small section of veneer missing to the rear left side and rear left front of the top. A small section of veneer is missing to the rear right side of the top. The right hand side has a raised panel beneath the bookcase top of which there is a small splice of veneer missing at the rear. The left hand side has a 11 cm vertical age split and a 7 cm horizontal split. The moulding at the base of the left hand side has a full length split and the veneer has been replaced. The right hand side base moulding has small sections of veneer missing and a strip of veneer has been replaced. The front of the right hand side bracket foot has a 3 cm x 2.5 cm splice missing. There are small knocks to the moulding at the base of the bookcase, a 10 cm split to the right hand side of the moulding and a 6 cm split to the left hand side. There have been corbals to the top and bottom of each pilaster which are now missing and attachment holes have been filled and polished. This is most likely to have been a display cabinet at some time in its life as there are filled patches evident where a hinge may have sat. However given all these faults this is a clean piece of furniture ready for use.

The locks are Victorian lever locks by Shiner, London. The bracket feet have some age but are probably Victorian replacements. The handles are not original but do go through the original handle holes. It is likely that the chest of drawers has been through a restorers workshop within the last 15-20 years.
