A William IV mahogany extending dining table with three fitted leaves on turned legs with castors, l. 124 to 298 cm CONDITION REPORT: Later restored and re-varnished. No sign of repairs. No clips. The bracket for the central leg is probably later. Two leaves are darker- we believe these may be early 20th century. There are no splits or cracks and no signs of worm. Cahoon Bros of Belfast; a late 19th century gilt brass eight day clock garniture, the domed eight day clock set with gadrooned finial above lion head and dial set with Roman numerals, the stepped plinth surmounted by four stylised birds, raised on bracket feet, height 37cm, flanked by a pair of twin branch candelabra (3). CONDITION REPORT The central sconce of the candelabrum is loose. Some losses around the winding apertures on the clock dial. Some knocks and marks commensurate with age. Missing two sconces.
William Frodsham FRS (1728-1807) A Very Impressive Regency Bracket Clock Comprising a mahogany bracket case with pendulum lock down screw for ease of transportation, canted corners, finished with brass overlays. Features a painted white dial with black Roman numerals, three train chain fusee, full repeat, on the hour, quarters, and half hour striking on eight bells. Of pleasing form, a rare example in very good condition, height, 20 inches, width 11.5 inches, depth, 6 inches. William Frodsham was horologist to King George III and was made an honorary Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers in 1781.
