A Staffordshire biblical group probably by Obadiah Sherratt. Depicting the Sacrifice of Abraham with the messenger of God over Abraham's shoulder. The figures behind a brazier, with a small bocage to the side, remnants of a lamb are raised on a table base with sprigged foliage swags, sponged decoration and inscribed Abram Stop to a lozenge shaped pad, 26cm. Messenger lacking wings and arms and with head re glued. Isaac with loss to his right foot. Bocage with loss. Lamb with only hoofs remaining. Two diagonally oposing bracket feet re glued to the base. Some flaking to the enamels.
