Lacking original bracket feet at the back and 10cm of side of right bracket foot and entire moulding to the back. Also lacking 3 interior drawers and door. Old positions of short drawer handles evident from dowels. Chips, dents, scratches and stains consistent with age and use. As found.

Restorations, including lower right of left door with 11cm x 3cm patch. Lacking original catches, including lower one on left door (latterly filled) and both on right door (latterly filled). Central brass dividing bead later. Doors later braced on the inside.Overall good colour and figuring. Mahogany carcase. Handles probably original.

A George III cross banded and inlaid mahogany bureau, the fall front enclosing a satinwood fitted interior with central door with inlaid marquetry panel, above four long graduated drawers on bracket feet, height 117cm, width 119cm, depth 60cm. CONDITION REPORT The top has a large water stain, scratches, ink stains, a split. The top is slightly warped, scratches and marks commensurate with age. There is a split to the fall front, the leather is split. There are some splits to the sides, scratches, nibbles to the front. There is one little drop ring handle missing from the pull-out slide. Overall, an attractive piece.Handles appear original and back boards are present
