Maple & Co: A Late 19th Century Mahogany, Crossbanded and Boxwood Strung Six Piece Bedroom Suite, comprising a triple door wardrobe with moulded panels, one side enclosing trays and drawers, the other as compartments and hanging space, 195cm by 65cm by 200cm, a matching dressing chest with mirror with two short over four long graduated drawers, on bracket feet, 91cm by 49cm by 99cm, a pair of single panelled bedsteads, take a 3ft mattress, a bedside cupboard with small gallery above a drawer and cupboard door, 38cm by 37cm by 80cm, and a double door wardrobe, one side with hanging space, the other with sliding trays, the base with drawers, 138cm by 70cm by 200cm. The left-hand side double doors enclose hanging space. The interior with a drawer. Inside of the two cupboard doors have mirrors on. The right-hand door has five sliding trays above four drawers with recessed handles. The timber is excellent quality. Generally the wardrobe is in very good condition with some slight fading (being critical) on the lower section of the cupboard doors. Cornice around the top fault to left-hand corner. The chest has formerly been fitted a mirror so has recess cut marks on the back to accommodate the mirror frame. Some slight colour loss on the left-hand side. Drawer fronts generally good however small escutcheon missing on the top left-hand drawer. Large drawer small fault to the escutcheon. Wardrobe and the chest are a good colour match.

dating: 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Round, smooth-bore, 15 mm cal. barrel, with thin central rib, engraved with flowers at the base, partially enriched with thick, gilded inlays, and with Liege test-bed stamp. Tang with a brass plate with monogram 'N'. Flintlock, cock shaped as a swan's neck with reinforcement, engraved with rinceaux. Wooden, full stock, chiselled on the back. Brass, engraved trigger-guard. Butt-plate of Turkish style, in brass, with trophies in relief. Silver barrel bracket and muzzle ring with floral decorations. Iron ramrod. length 49 cm.
dating: first quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Balkans, Smooth-bore, two-stage, octagonal and round, 16 mm cal. barrel. Lock with gold-inlaid floral motifs. Wooden, full stock with silver mounts and inlays, decorated with engravings and coral plates. Beautiful barrel bracket, embossed with floral and geometrical motifs. Silver false ramrod, decorated en suite. length 53 cm.
dating: circa 1800 provenance: Turkey, Long, smooth-bore, round, 15 mm cal. barrel, with square base, engraved and with silver inlays in the first part and with rib; lock decorated with silver floral motifs. Wooden, full stock with silver mounts, richly chiselled, engraved and pierced with floral motifs. Beautiful and long barrel bracket with false ramrod, in style of yatagan mounts. length 56 cm.
dating: 1780 - 1800 provenance: France, Smooth-bore, three-stage, 15 mm cal. barrel, first octagonal, then faceted and finally round, with a small moulded muzzle at the nozzle. Base with remains of marking 'TORDU' and 'BESA...'. Lock with slightly roundish plate, in iron. In working order. Wooden, half stock with grip, chiselled and carved with in-the-round animal's head. No ramrod. Iron mounts, rear reinforcement band and a long band in the lower part that runs from the grip's pommel until the front part and acts as a barrel bracket. length 26 cm.
dating: Mid 18th Century provenance: Italy, Smooth-bore, two-stage, 15 mm cal. barrel, octagonal and round, with rings and acanthus leaves in relief at the girdle, provided with brass-plated fore-sight, base with marks with remains of gilding. Lock with flat plate engraved with effigy of a character and signed 'Gaetano Botti', engraved cock and batterie. The batterie itself provided with a detachable safe/pan-cover. Wooden, half stock with brass-inlaid spirals. Brass mounts, pierced barrel bracket. Horn-tipped wooden ramrod and iron cartridge extractor. length 127,5 cm.
dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Italy, Round, smooth-bore, 18 mm cal. barrel, with octagonal breech, remains of stamps at the base. Backward spring lock, with flat plate, marked 'A. BORDONI / BRESCIA'. Wooden, long stock, brass trigger-guard and barrel bracket, slot for a bayonet and iron butt-plat. Iron ramrod. length 108,5 cm.
