19th CENTURY MAHOGANY CASED 8 DAY LONG CASED CLOCK BY ROBERT CAIHILL of WELLINGTON, the imposing case having hood with broken swan neck pediment mounted with brass eagle finials over an arched aperture flanked by bobbin turned columns, the waist with triple pointed arch cross banded door, flanked by further bobbin turned columns, above a cross banded oval panelled base on outswept bracket feet. Eight day, two train movement, striking on one bell. The face painted with a full length portrait of a military gentleman, possibly the Duke of Wellington, and having floral spandrals, Arabic numerals and seconds dial. Face 21.5" x 15" (55 x 38 cms). Overall height 104" overall. (267 cms approx). CONDITION REPORT: Some minor areas of cracking and missing veneer. A little faded generally but appearing complete. The near loss to the upper frieze on one side noticeable.
EARLY 19th CENTURY NORTH WALES OAK RACK BACK DRESSER, with boarded rack having moulded cornice over three fitted shelves flanked by reeded uprights, the base with three frieze drawers over three centre dummy drawers flanked by two blind panel cupboards, all with rosewood lozenge escutcheons, standing on bracket feet. c. 1810. 61" x 19" x 81" (155 x 48 x 206cm) CONDITION REPORT: Basically good condition for age, some stains, scuffs and marks but no serious damage of losses evident.
19th CENTURY FLAMED MAHOGANY SHELL INLAID KNIFE BOX WITH SERPENTINE FRONT, standing on bracket feet with brass loop carrying handles. 9" x 11" x 13" (23 x 27 x 32.5cm) approx. CONDITION REPORT: Rather poor condition overall, splits to both sides and to the back. Probably replacement hinges and handles. Lost mouldings in many places. Rather dry. The interior has now been converted to a stationary box.

Turned rosewood knobs with mother of pearl panels. Circa 1820. 21" x 47" x 46.5" (54 x 120 x 118 cms) CONDITION REPORT: Top is stained and rather dry in places. Splitting and missing sections of edge veneer. Hinge to secretaire fall is damaged. Overall scuffed and worn particularly to legs and lower parts. Evidence of splitting to one side panel.
18th CENTURY WELSH OAK LOW PRESS CUPBOARD having moulded cornice over two ogee pointed arch panel doors, projecting base with three moulded frieze drawers, on bracket feet. Circa 1780. 57" x 21" x 46" high (145 x 53 x 117 cms). CONDITION REPORT: Good colour and patination. Splits with age to end panels. Filled holes where handles and catches have been moved. Odd losses to drawer edges and wear and tear commensurate with age.
18th CENTURY MAHOGANY STRAIGHT FRONTED BACHELOR'S CHEST OF DRAWERS having fold over moulded rectangular top with pull supports, two short and three long graduated cock beaded drawers on bracket feet. Circa 1760. 34" x 13.5" x 31" (86 x 35 x 79 cms). CONDITION REPORT: Fair condition for age. Some ink stains and marks to the top with splitting and losses to inner surfaces of flaps. Minor losses to veneers on the front. Scuffs and wear to legs and lower mouldings.
18th CENTURY MAHOGANY STRAIGHT FRONTED CHEST OF FOUR GRADUATED AND COCK BEADED DRAWERS under a moulded edged top, all with brass swan necked handles, standing on bracket feet. Circa 1770. 35" x 17.5" x 31.5" (89 x 44 x 79 cms) CONDITION REPORT: Some splitting and losses to the top particularly rear angles and one side. General wear and tear to drawer edges. Section of one bracket feet at the back is missing.
18th CENTURY MAHOGANY SERPENTINE FRONTED FITTED BACHELOR'S CHEST OF FOUR GRADUATED DRAWERS, having moulded edge top, fitted upper drawer with adjustable writing surface, pen trays etc over three further graduated and cock-beaded drawers on bracket feet with recessed brass casters. Circa 1775. 36" x 20" x 32" (92 x 51.5 x 81 cms). CONDITION REPORT: overall good condition for age. A little scuffed and worn in places. Minor losses to cock beading to drawers in places. Particular scuffs to lower legs.
WELSH OAK EIGHT DAY LONG CASE CLOCK marked John Evans of Welshpool, having broken swan neck pediment above arched aperture flanked by turned baluster pillars, the waist with pointed arched cross-banded and inlaid door flanked by quarter reeded pilasters on a panelled base with bracket feet. Arch painted face with seconds dial and date aperture, having figure portrait to the arch and cottage spandrels. Eight day, two train movement striking on one bell. Face 18" x 13", case 87" high overall. C. 1840. CONDITION REPORT: Good overall condition. The case has certain flaking to the paint and has been re-painted at some stage. Basically good overall. Detailed condition report on request.
