An 18th Century Longcase Clock, the brass dial inscribed "William Porthouse, Penrith", above a plaque inscribed "Daniel & Ann Fisher" with date aperture, ormolu spandrels and thirty hour movement, the oak case with fluted side pilasters and on bracket feet. (hood restored). 6` 10" (208cms) high.
A Northern European walnut feather banded bureau cabinet, early 18th century, the twin domed cornice over a pair of arched doors enclosing a fitted interior, with a central door and three drawers under, the fall front revealing a fitted interior, with three long drawers below and bracket feet, the base with metal carrying handles, 113cm wide 66cm deep 211cm high CONDITION REPORT: Pine drawer linings. Cherry wood crossbanding. Both doors have splats, the right-hand door has a filled split running the full length. Old woodworm holes throughout. Replacement section of veneer to edge of cornice on left-hand side. Other small patches to veneer, e.g. above lockplate on top drawer. Scratches and staining to interior of fall front. Replacement section to sloping upright to left of fall front. One internal drawer handle missing. Fading. General wear including scratches, stains, knocks and losses to veneer and replacement feet
A Charles X figured mahogany commode, the rectangular grey-veined marble top over a concave frieze drawer and three further oak-lined long drawers, with a boxwood scroll line inlaid apron, on strung bracket feet, the marble top cracked to the rear right, 103cm wide including marble top 57cm deep 89.5cm high CONDITION REPORT: Marble - both sides with splits.
A George III mahogany linen press, with a swan neck pediment over a pair of grille doors, with an arrangement of four drawers below, on bracket feet, 129cm wide 61cm deep 232cm high CONDITION REPORT: Bracket feet reduced. Repaired splits to side. Doors probably originally panelled or a marriage??
