Probably Lehigh Valley, early 19th Century. Octagonal barrel, percussion lock, brass two-piece patchbox and brass furniture. Iron bracket is attached to back of buttplate to hang on a sign. Rough condition, as it has been in the elements. All steel surfaces have a dark pitted patina, missing bolster. Stock has been cut and is missing several pieces along forend. Lot 861

Iron tube and bracket around trunnions. The cannon retains the original mounting bracket, most likely attached to a ship, probably Civil War period, with the date inscribed at a later celebration of the Fourth of July. The cannon is still in very good condition, with a dark, lightly pitted patina. Measures 19.5 inches long x 3 1/4 inches wide at the base of the barrel, 6 inches wide at the trunnions. The bore is 1 5/8 inches in diameter.
