CONDITION REPORT There is a repaired section to the left side, some scratches, right side with scratches and some stains, top has scratches, marks and stains commensurate with age, one front drawer with deep scratches, scars of old handles, general wear and tear
Ferruccio Laviani; a Kartell FL/Y green tinted Perspex globular form ceiling light, diameter approx 50cm and a further Tiffany-style leaded stained glass table lamp (af) (2). CONDITION REPORT The Kartell ceiling lamp has various light scratches throughout, with one more significant scratch to the side, approx 8cm long. Other slightly more significant scratches throughout. The bracket on the table lamp leaves the shade sitting at a slight angle. Both sold electrically untested.

A Victorian rosewood veneered, mother-of-pearl inlaid, writing slope, decorated with floral sprigs, restored, some damage, 35.5cm wide x 33cm deep x 22.5cm, with a 19th century mahogany veneered ‘apprentice’, miniature chest of three long drawers, with a rectangular top, circular bone handles, a shaped apron and bracket feet, 24cm wide x 13.5cm deep x 24cm high (2)Condition report: Restorations, including veneers, including 7cm x 4cm section right side of lid, left side adjacent to hinge and 1cm section back left corner of lid. Damage and loss, inside and out around hinges. Leather torn along join. Lacking ink bottles and one compartment’s cover. Lacking key and MOP escutcheon. Ok, apart from slight warping on the top and scratches and dents consistent with age and use.
Butler of Bolton; a 19th century mahogany eight-day longcase clock, the painted dial with rolling moon phase, Roman and Arabic numerals and two subsidiary dials, the case inlaid with satinwood stringing, conch shell inlays and further herringbone inlay, above an arched door and raised on plinth to bracket feet, height approx 254cm (af). CONDITION REPORT The right hand side of the hood, just above the reeded pilaster has a piece of veneer missing and a piece of the stringing hanging loose. Further splits to the veneer around the door and the arch of the hood. The right hand side trim for the the clock body is detached but present, the right hand side of the hood trim is missing. There is further staining and fading to the plinth section of the case, a scratch to the lower portion of the door and over spray of paint to the left hand side of the case. The backboard is showing some signs of old worm damage, resulting in a split to the lower part of the case.
Blaylock & Dudson of Carlisle; a Victorian eight-day longcase clock with broken swan neck pediment above arched painted dial with various church ruins and hunting scene to the arched section, the chapter ring set with Roman numerals and two subsidiary dials above a crossbanded door flanked by turned pilasters, raised on bracket feet, height 222cm. CONDITION REPORT The case is in overall good condition, although the lower section of the plinth has splits to the front and sides and very minor signs of old worm damage to the right hand side of the case. The hood has a split on the right hand side. The case door has a further split, the left hand side of the hood also has a split. The left hand section of the broken swan neck pediment has a crack and is a little bit loose. There are splits to the veneer in several areas, scuffing to the bottom of the hood door and the section where the door opens. The back legs of the case are missing. With two weights, pendulum, crank handle and a key for the body.
William Jackson Southwark; a 19th century mahogany longcase clock, with broken swan neck pediment enclosing a brass ball with hoo hoo bird above a raised gilded base, the face with maker's name and flying putti, the silvered dial set with Roman and Arabic numerals above an arched door and fluted pillars, height approx 212cm. CONDITION REPORT The broken swan neck pediment has a piece of trim missing from the left arm. There are further splits to the hood. The very top section where it has been carved roughly, there are gaps and splits to this portion. The pliasters either side of the hood door are lacking a brass trim on the upper right section. There is an arched cutaway on both sides of the hood, one has a glass cover, the other one is just open. There are further splits and losses to the hood. The face is potentially a replacement, as there does not appear to be anything behind the central winding hole. There is a date aperture ring present, but it has dropped slightly behind the movement, so maybe it is a window or an open aperture for viewing the date, as opposed to a winding hole. The subsidiary dial hand is missing. The silvered chapter ring is heavily worn and scratched throughout. The actual body of the clock appears to be in fairly good order. There is a slight surface split to the upper portion of the door, but it is not significant. The plinth base has a slight piece of veneer missing on the upper right shoulder and a further split to the lower right corner. Further slight wear to the surface throughout the clock body. The main plinth panel has a horizontal split near the top and a further split lower down. There are further scuffs to the bracket base. There is a non-matching pair of weights present, and a pendulum. The body has a key, but there is no winding key.
An early 20th century oak bureau bookcase with pair of leaded glazed doors enclosing three adjustable shelves above fall front, opening to reveal a fitted interior above three long drawers, raised on bracket feet, 213 x 82 x 43cm (af). CONDITION REPORT Various surface wear throughout and the front left bracket foot is detached but present.
An Edwardian pine two-over-three chest of drawers to bun feet, 81 x 89cm, a contemporary walnut veneered four-drawer chest of drawers, to bracket supports, 90 x 77cm, and an Edwardian pine wash stand with lower shelf to turned supports and peg feet, 83 x 75cm, with an Edwardian wash bowl and jug to the top (4).
An Edwardian-style reproduction inlaid and cross-banded walnut bureau, the fall-front enclosing a fitted interior and a gilt tooled green leather writing surface above four long drawers and raised on bracket feet, 100 x 74 x 48cm. CONDITION REPORT The front has some sun bleaching on the drawer fronts and the lower section of the fall-front. There are some water marks to the bottom drawer and light surface scuffs and scrapes throughout.
A walnut crossbanded and herringbone inlaid linen press with pair of panelled doors above two short and two long drawers, to bracket feet, 188 x 117 x 55cm (af). CONDITION REPORT There is a noticeable split to the right hand side of the top section. There are further splits to the veneer, with a section on the left hand door starting to peel. The top section is lacking its brush in slides, further sun bleaching throughout. Patch repairs, further splits, etc.
A George III mahogany bureau, the fall flap opening to reveal a central door with a shell patera, flanked by eight recesses over four short and two long drawers, four long graduated drawers, raised on bracket feet, 106.5cm high, 102cm wide, 52cm deep. Upon initial inspection splits to fall, handles of age but replaced, scratches, marks, staining, ring marks, losses to feet and extremities, some openings to joints etc.
Samuel Deacon, Barton. A George III mahogany and oak long case clock, the square enamel dial painted with floral spandrels, Arabic numerals, date aperture, eight day two train movement with bell strike, the hood with broken arch pediment, raised on brass caped fluted columns, the case door inlaid with shell paterea, flanked by quarter pilasters, with pendulum, no key, 203.5cm high. N.B. Samuel Deacon was born in Leicestershire in 1746 and was head of the celebrated family of watch and clock makers working at Barton-in-the-Beans from 1771 until 1951. Leicestershire Museums have a collection of his clocks and workshop tools, etc,. He is well documented. On initial inspection it would appear that the clock would have originally had feet, probably bracket, which are now gone and replaced by a matched in oak beading strip.

An Edwardian mahogany and satinwood banded bureau bookcase, the break arch pediment over a pair of glazed doors enclosing three shelves, above a fall flap with paterae inlay opening to reveal two drawers and eight recesses, over four long graduated drawers raised on bracket feet, 210cm high, 90cm wide, 41cm deep.
A GEORGE III MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCKThe 12 inch arched brass dial with subsidiary dial and date aperture, signed 'John Chater Olney No 64', with two weights, a pendulum, winder and a case key, movement and case associated, overall height 214cm highCondition report: The case is basically original and has been repolished at some point. However, please not the following obvious issues: The hood with some cracking and replacement to the blind fret spandrels of the hood, some side splitting and movement to the sides Traces of old worm holes to the hood and trunk. Worm damage to the lower moulding of the hood which is now split apart on the left side and requires restoration. Later screws to secure glass door hinges. Brass mounts to the bases of the fluted side columns are loose.Some replacement and repair to detail moulding on the trunk, below hood. Slight warp to the door towards the bottom. An areas of filler Just below the key escutcheon, possibly from a previous catch for the door. Gauge to left hand side on canted flutes, approx 5 inches below lock. Both sides with split panels to the side of the plinth, left side with some repair and infill. Bracket feet are replaced. Marks, knocks, scratches and scuffs commensurate with age and use. The movement: The movement may not be original to case. The dial is dirty. Hands are not original. Movement appears complete, but is dirty and requires a full service. A REGENCY ROSEWOOD BANDED MAHOGANY BOWFRONT CHESTOn splayed bracket feet, 92cm wide; 106cm highCondition report: Overall, good decorative and functional order. The drawers run smoothly and are well made. Minor shrinkage to pine bottom boards with a small gaps but this doesn’t impact upon the functionality of the drawers. Later handles. Some minor chips and small losses to the veneer in areas, most notbbly to the centre of the apron and left foot, as see in catalogue image. Other minor shrinkage and movement to timber in places, noticeably the two central drawers sit with a slight gap. Minor shrinkage and movement to veneers, with a slight crack to the back of the right side. The veneers are firmly stuck down to the top but there is some slight bumpiness to the right and left edge. A few small veneer patch replacements and repairs to the veneers around the drawers, as to be expected.
AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY DENTIST'S CABINETThe marble top over thirty five various drawers and five cupboards, 140cm wide; 108cm highCondition report: The marble top with wear, scuffs and scratches, numerous chips along the edges. The back left corner with a large patch of discolouration. See additional photographs on www.bellmans.co.ukSome drawers obviously with later replacement handles. One drawer with handle missing. Some quite stiff, mahogany lined drawers. Numerous small chips, scuffs and wear overall. The cupboard doors below with loose hinges; one top hinge loose, one door with missing upright and tear, as if ripped from lock panel. No key. One door shut/locked. Top of doors are impressed with a serial number. Bracket feet with many losses and loose elements which have been recently supported on new blocks of timber and screwed together to support and stablise. Surfaces are worn, dirty, dusty and faded. Overall requires restoration and repair.
A REGENCY MAHOGANY CONSOLE TABLEWith frieze drawer on scroll supports and paw feet, 122cm wide 86cm highCondition report: The top with wear, some movement to timber, various marks, chips and scuffs to the top commensurate with age and sue. Patch repair veneer, back left corner. The underside with wear, some old track marks and wax like area, the top has been off at some point and could be an associated. The back left bracket has been repaired with a brace support and spliced repair. Both sides missing a roundel to the back bracket. Scuffs and wear to other areas, wear to frieze drawer especially along the edges. Feet later. Holes to the horizontal back rail beneath table top, possibly top was secured to a wall. The table is relatively secure and joints are not loose.
A GEORGE II SOLID YEW-WOOD DRESSERThe enclosed plate rack over three drawers and cupboards, on bracket feet, 181cm wide; 203cm highCondition report: Please refer to more detailed images on www.bellmans.co.ukAt some point restored. Later bracket feet, handles and locks, hinges resecured. Back boards repaired, some later. The upper shelf structure has been re-secured to the base, some movement to the right side with repairs. Cornice repaired and re-secured at some point. Various signs of shrinkage, including movement to timber and splits to the sides. Marks and scuffs commensurate with age and use. One key.

A CHINESE EXPORT GILT AND BLACK LACQUER GAMES BOXEarly 19th centuryOf octagonal form, raised on four paw feet, the cover gilt and painted with a figurative panel around a crest, framed by pairs of dragons chasing flaming pearls, the border and sides with further figurative panels, the interior with seven lidded compartments and twelve trays and including approx. 168 mother of pearl counters of two types each with the same bird crest, 38cm wide by 30.5cm deepOne of the paw feet has broken off but is available. The bracket above the foot is lacking. All the feet have later screws attaching them to the base. Two of the paw feet have chips. Otherwise some overall wear, cracks and chips to the lacquer. Mother of pearl counters. These are of two types. A thicker type engraved with figures in landscapes on one side and birds on the reverse around the crest. These are made up of 41 long rectangular counters, 10 short rectangular counters and 21 circular counters. Overall these are in very good condition. Thinner type- these are engraved on one side with a single figure and on the reverse with flowers around the central crest. These comprise of 62 long rectangular, 10 short rectangular and 24 circular counters. These are in overall good condition with some light wear in places.
