A late 19th century bracket clock, the 16.5 cm arch square brass dial having a silvered annular chapter ring and Roman numerals, the arch with subsidiary Silent/Chime and Slow/Fast subsidiary dials, fitted an eight day three train movement striking the hours and quarters on five gongs, with pull repeat, in an ebonised and ormolu mounted case, with figure of Mercury finial, and an associated bracket, 36 cm wide (2) See illustration Condition report Report by MWBracket clock case - the ebonised case would appear generally to be in good condition commensurate with age. The ormolu mounts are rubbed, with the majority of the gilding missing to the high points. The movement appears complete with the pull repeat working but no guarantee is implied or given.Overall the clock is a nice, honest piece.
