A George III Mahogany Serpentine-Shape Commode, circa 1780, the moulded top above four oak-lined drawers with original brasses, on moulded bracket feet 107cm by 59cm by 80cmGood colour and excellent quality timber, however the top does have numerous deep scratches (see images). With original brasses. The drawers are oak-lined and run freely. With numerous scuffs to the bracket feet (consistent with age). With a small split to one of the side panels. Overall, good original condition.

The end panels are with numerous old decay which has been partly filled and polished (see images). There is a small section of moulding missing around the base. The later brasses with previous faint handle marks visible. The fitted interior is good - the bone handles have been removed and some are as found (a.f) - see images of the interior. There is no key but the bureau is open.

The bracket feet are period but not original to the piece. Some moulding away to the cleated angular fall (3cm top right-hand corner). the leathered interior is later as are the hinges. Right-hand side has a full bureau height split where the two planks have separated, also on the left-hand side. Appears to have been professionally re-polished at some stage and also restored. Overall condition good with flaws mentioned, commensurate with age and usage.

(108 x 55 x 107 cm)Condition Report: The fall appears in good overall general condition and fold flat. It is a very heavy piece (probably Cuban mahogany). The lock looks original and in good condition, hinges also. Ink stains to the inside of the bureau. Right-hand side is a little faded and has a 3cm piece of moulding away. No major cracks or splits. Condition commentate with age. The bracket feet may have been replace.

Furness Railway brass signal lever plate from Plumpton Junction box between Grange Over Sands and Ulverston. 6 UP HOME FROM PRIORY TO LAKESIDE 36 31 17. Engraved brass with original red wax infill and bracket to the rear, measures 6.75in long. Plumpton was the junction for Windermere Lakeside and the Conishead Priory branch, the latter closing in 1916 though a short section to Bardsea Works was retained until 1994.

Headboard THE LOCHABER as carried by J36 65243 Maude and Black 5 44767 on this 1984 Railtour to Scotlands Highlands and Islands. It included trips on the West Highland from Fort William to Mallaig and a journey to Oban. Circular cast aluminium 17.5in diameter complete with rear mounting bracket.
the 7" painted dial signed Green, Clifton, on a brass eight day twin fusee movement striking to a bell, the case with a pagoda surmount and brass ball finial, brass grilles and handles to the sides and brass bracket feet, with pendulum, lacking key, height 57cm. *Condition: Appears to wind and strike but functionality not guaranteed, craquelure and some scratching to dial, the case with some minor splits and wear, ball finial loose.
