George III mahogany secretaire bookcase, moulded cornice, lancet glazed doors enclosing three adjustable shelves, the base with a secretaire drawer over three long graduating drawers, brass handles, splayed bracket feet, width 102cm, depth 56cm, height 222cm.Condition report:Some splitting to the veneer of the cornice and there is a length of moulding missing to the left hand side of the cornice. The top left hand pane of the righthand bookcase door is cracked. The top of the secretaire is heavily marked and water stained. The lower left hand panel of the secretaire is split and has some scratches. Splits also to the right-hand side of the drawer fascias between the second and third drawers. The interior of the fitted drawer is relatively tidy, some of the inner drawer pulls are replaced and one is loose. The other drawers are sound but run dry.
Victorian carved oak bureau, the top with a three-quarter gallery, fall front, enclosing a part-fitted interior with two drawers and pigeon-holes, four drawers and cupboard under, shaped apron, bracket feet, width 91cm, depth 47cm, height 114cm.Condition report:Both sides are split and the overall finish to the exterior is quite poor. The interior of the fall front is also tired with the later inset needing a replacement. The drawers are all fairly clean, no heavy staining. There i one key that operates the slope and cupboard locks but doesn't seem to operate the drawers but those mechanisms may just be stiff.
George III oak and mahogany tallboy chest, (split carcass), moulded cornice, plain frieze, two short and six long graduating drawers, with turned handles, bracket feet, width 116cm, depth 63cm, height 194cm.Condition report:The main image does have a bit of lurking from the studio lights. However, the veneer to the plain frieze of the cornice is lifting and splitting on all three sides with some losses on the apexes of the corners. The drawer pulls are all matched. The left hand side brack facia is off, but present. The lower right hand side panel has a slight split forming from the base. All drawers are sound but they run very dry. Old patches of veneer repair and moulding repair/ losses throughout. The dimensions stated in the description are at the widest points, so the cornice is 116cm. The carcass measures 104.5cm wide, 55.5cm deep.
