An early 19th Century mahogany linen press, the upper section with dentil cornice over two panelled cupboard doors enclosing a hanging rail (formerly with linen drawers) over three long drawers on bracket feet, 125 cm wide x 56 cm deep x 211 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Whilst basically sound, the piece has several areas of wear and tear conducive with age and use. Cornice with denting and loss in certain areas. Dentil cornice section with two teeth missing to the left hand corner - ditto right hand corner. Top also has several splits throughout. Some scratching to the centre of the left hand door. The panels slightly warped and with some discolouration. Splits and fading to the doors and some patching. Cupboard has been converted to hanging space. Drawers are missing. Moulding is missing off on the right hand side of the base however is extent. There is no key. Two large scuffs where the top doors open and there is a 1.5" crack on the right hand door centre. Otherwise wear and tear conducive with age and use throughout. An early 18th Century walnut, feather and cross-banded chest on chest, the moulded cornice above three short drawers and three long graduated drawers on a base with brushing slide over three long graduated drawers, the lower drawer with a concave starburst parquetry-inlaid motif raised on bracket feet (provenance: Christie's sale Wednesday 10th July 2013, Lot 134) (with some damage to veneers), 106 cm wide x 58.5 cm deep x 176.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Has large areas of veneer missing throughout. Replacement handles. Cracking and patching to the veneers in places. Brushing slide is worn where it has been in and out. Drawer liners are split. A 19th Century mahogany chest, the single piece top with moulded edge over two short and three long graduated drawers with ebony strung edging and brass plate handles, raised on bracket feet, 94 cm wide x 47.3 cm deep x 88 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Signficant damage to the varnish and finish throughout especially noticable to the top and bottom right-hand front of the drawers. Appears to have had some paint poured down it. There are areas of ebonised moulding missing. There has been a repair to the right-hand support and the last drawer support is off on the left-hand side. Replacement handles. Bottom two drawers do not run smoothly. Heavy wear and tear.
