A 19th century mahogany chest on chest, with a moulded cornice above a blind fretwork frieze and canted corners, the top section with two short and three long graduated drawers, the base with a brushing slide and three long graduated drawers on bracket feet, 114cm wide x 184.5cm high x 51cm deep
An 18th Century oak cupboard, the moulded cornice above a bog oak and holly parquetry work banded frieze bearing ownership initials "JE" over two arched fielded panel doors with fan carved finials to the arches opening to reveal a single shelf over three small drawers flanked by quarter cut fluted side pillasters on a base of three short over two deeper drawers, all with brass swan neck handles raised on bracket feet 144 cm wide x 54 cm deep x 154.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall the piece appears sound. Top boards appear to be later additions though have been there some time judging by the colour and patination. There are some areas of loss to the drawer edging, right lower drawer has some cracks along the grain and right small drawer above it has crack top left and replacement section to the corner. There is a vertical split to the right hand side panel and to the left. Otherwise the piece could be described as having wear and tear conducive with age and use. Basically sound throughout. An early 19th Century oak bureau, the plain top above a sloping fall front enclosing a basic fitted interior over four graduated drawers with brass swan neck handles, raised on bracket feet, 96 cm wide x 50 cm deep x 106 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Whilst the piece is basically sound, there are certainly signs of wear and tear conducive with age and use throughout to include surface denting, scratching, etc. The key escutcheon is unlikely to be original and has one pin missing and one replacement pin holding it in place and discolouration around it. There is also a section of beading that has been replaced above and to the right of the escutcheon. The interior is very basic and two dividers are missing. There are several areas of damage and repair to the beading of the drawers. See images for further detail. Brass work may or may not be original. Right hand loper has either been replaced or repaired. Side panels have slits and various dents and discolouration. See images for further detail.
An 18th Century Welsh oak coffer bach, the single piece top with moulded edge above three fielded panels over two drawers with brass knob handles, raised on bracket feet, 65.5 cm wide x 36 cm deep x 42 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Top has two large cracks. Has wooden peg hinges. Missing lock mechanism to the top. There are various splits to the bracket feet and there has been a repair to the one on the left hand side. Where item has been pinned, some of the filler has come loose. The right hand side bracket has signs of woodworm throughout and has a repair and a bit missing. Left hand side bracket foot also has signs of old worm and has a repair to the foot. The base board to the interior is split and has possibly been later braced to the underneath. Has general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include splits, knocks, bumps etc and has been polished over the years - see images for more details

An 18th Century oak coffer bach, the plain top with moulded edge above two domed fielded panels and single slim drawer on bracket feet, 71.5 cm wide x 37 cm deep x 47 cm high (Provenance: Nigel Ward & Co. Lot 1947 18th March 2006) CONDITION REPORTS Appears to have had either handles added and removed at some point on the sides or just later removed. There are filling holes on both sides in a regular pattern. The filling to cover the various nail heads as part of the construction is missing. Left hand side has a large split running down it. Signs of some old worm throughout, small patches variously. The drawer liner is split. There is a chunk missing from the back right hand foot and the right hand side panel has a line of old worm on the left hand edge nearest the front. General wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for more details

The top has several splits and a patch to the back edge. Drawer lining has splits and signs of insect damage. Right hand side is split to both the lower and upper sections variously. Left hand side is split on the base and appears to have had a repair. There are signs of worm to the underneath.
An 18th Century oak mule chest, the plain top opening to reveal a candle box with two drawers, over a single drawer, raised on bracket feet, the paper lining with handwritten inscription "E J Phipps A present from her grandfather James Phipps", the inscription also repeated on the underside of the candle box cover, 84 cm wide x 45 cm deep x 67 cm high
An 18th Century oak miniature coffer, the loose top with moulded edge over two fielded rectangular panels, parquetry inlaid in bog oak and holly, with star motifs, raised on bracket feet, 63 cm wide x 32 cm deep x 37 cm high CONDITION REPORTS The lock appears to have been a replacement. There is a large split running through the top and cracked and filled as well as burn marks variously throughout to the top and to the front left hand panel in particular. Signs of old worm variously throughout and some possibly live to the back legs. Wooden peg hinges. Both side panels have been split and repaired. The right hand side has a stamp/burn mark as well as a mildewy like effect. The right hand bracket foot joints are open but not loose. Possible later additions to the top of each side panel. General wear and tear conducive with age and use to include knocks, bumps, splits, some filling etc - see images for more detail

A Georgian crossbanded walnut chest of four drawers, raised on bracket feet, 78 x 80 x 48cm. CONDITION REPORT: Age-related wear in the form of surface scratches, small areas of missing veneer, small dents to the edges. Small plaque to interior of drawer inscribed 'Wolfes of Birkenhead, Antique & Modern Furniture'. No sign of woodworm or extensive restoration.
