Late nineteenth century / early twentieth century Chinese silver salt and pepper in the form of a stick man carrying two baskets, on a wheeled stand, underside of stand with Chinese character marks, together with a Chinese silver dish of rectangular form with flared rim, embossed bamboo decoration and spot-hammered finish, on four bracket feet, underside stamped pure silver. All at approximately 8.5ozs, tray 20cm overall

George III bracket clock with eight day movement, striking hours and half hours on a bell, circular white enamel dial, signed Jno Savage, Shrewsbury, in a shallow caddy top walnut case with tall pointed finial, inlaid brass decoration, 1cm lion-mask ring-handles and pierced side frets, on four ball feet, 55cm overall height CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good. Movement clean. We are unable to confirm if the movement is in full working order. Dial has minor wear around winding holes. Case is good. Veneer is cracked around dial on front between 11 and 12 and 6 and 7. Veneer on base is slightly rippled and has been repaired on back below door. Veneer is also marked below fret on right hand side and there are signs of repair above and below inlaid brass decoration to base
George III mahogany linen press with dentil cornice and two doors with two short and three long drawers below, on bracket feet, 203cm high x 133cm wide CONDITION REPORT The press has not been stripped / re-polished - It retains its original patination. There are no trays inside, it is converted with hanging rail and small ply shelves. The wooden drawer knobs are Victorian. Some damage to mouldings and door warped. The drawers are lined in oak. A telescopic sight for a Holland & Holland sporting rifle, 10½” overall, with lugs for securing bolts with 4” centres, by “Aldis Brothers, Birmingham, No 68917, 1916”, the body engraved “Holland & Holland” and serial number “F/779”, this number also stamped on the underside of one securing bracket, of heavy blackened brass construction. GC (some wear to blacking); with its leather lens covers and original leather carrying case which is also numbered F779, and has adjusting instructions in the lid. Plate 7
