CONDITION REPORT: There is a 2" piece of moulding missing from top right hand side. Glass replaced with new internal beading. Some alterations around movement board. No rear feet.Minor splits to top and bottom of door, approx 5" / 6" long. Some minor splits on top of back board. Some inactive worm in the back board.The glass panel has been recently replaced with new beading on the inside of the hood.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Octagonal, smooth, 15 mm cal. barrel, with traces of inscription at the base, equipped with fore-sight and rear-sight. Small, miquelet lock partially plated with white metal foils, engraved with spirals and dashes. Beautiful, wooden, full stock, richly decorated along the sides with mother-of-pearl marquetry (small parts missing) or semicircles and rhombus. Bottom part adorned with brass disks decorated with stars, en suite butt's end. Front part of the stock covered with silver-plated metal. Brass barrel bracket. Iron ramrod. length 141,5 cm.

Cusp-shaped sight at the base, smooth tang. Iron flintlock with rampant lion engraved on the lock plate. Wooden, long stock with typical butt, strongly curved and decorated with mother-of-pearl inlays. Trigger without trigger guard. Brass barrel bracket, iron ramrod. length 140 cm.

dating: 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Nice, smooth, two-stage, 13 mm cal. barrel, octagonal and round, richly inlaid with silver floral motifs, traces of stamp. Lock signed 'FAIRFAX BRYSONS', with remains of small engravings (mechanical problems). Wooden stock (defects) richly adorned with numerous silver inlays, effigy stars, shells, musical instruments and one small shield, as well as thin spirals. Silver and brass butt-plate, with green stone in the center. Silver trigger guard with star stamps. Irrelevant ramrod. Long, silver barrel bracket, with stamps remains as well. length 45 cm.

dating: second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Smooth, two-stage, 16 mm cal. barrel, first octagonal, with remains of relieved floral decorations, second is round, with rings at the girdle, small, floral decoration and raiser on the back, inscriptions in Arabic letters, gilded alongside. Lock with flat lock plate bearing remains of floral carvings. Wooden, full stock with thin, brass-inlaid spirals at the back and in front of the trigger guard. Silver mounts, butt-plate with masks and spirals (small damage), brass cap. Trigger guard and plate with spirals en suite. Silver barrel bracket with relieved flowers, provided with false ramrod. length 56,5 cm.

dating: Second half of the 18th Century provenance: Mexico, Smooth, two-stage barrel, octagonal until the half, with rings in the center, then round with strongly bell-mouthed nozzle; vent with gilded border, breech with molded decoration, smooth tang. Flintlock with floral engraving at the base of the cock. Some slight pitting on the iron parts. Wooden, full stock with typical thick grip with flat bottom and small lug on the back. Butt sides both featuring a big silver mount finely engraved and pierced with grotesques and monstrous animals that turn into flowers, round of nails around the plate. Similar decoration, silver as well, surrounds barrel's tang, pierced with flowers and leaves. Long plate, completely silver, covers almost all the lower part of the arm, and integrates the trigger guard, silver as well. Also these decorations are surrounded by nails. Silver butt-plate, engraved with rocaille, smooth counter plate. Front part of the stock with three bands and silver barrel bracket further to lateral engraved plates. Provenance: Spain or Mexico. length 37,5 cm.
