An 18th century weight driven 30 hour clock movement, by George Washborn of Gloucester, the 8¾in. square brass Roman dial with inner minute track and cast mask spandrels, single hand, the movement with four knopped pillars, steel anchor escapement, count wheel strike to backplate, with single lead weight and pendulum, on later wall bracket.
A French engraved slate and green marble clock garniture, 1870s, the circular 95mm Roman black enamel dial signed 'Van De Lannoy, Lille', framed by a circular gilt bezel with husk decoration, bevelled glazed door with bead work to edge, eight day bell strike movement, encased in square slate and marble body with engraved spear and scroll spandrels augmented with marble corners, surmounted with a marble urn bearing brass scroll handles and bouquet finial on variegated rectangular plinth, lion and ring masks to sides, two rear brass bracket supports, the front with two corner mounted brass lion paw feet, 18½. (47cm.) high, 11in. (28cm.) wide, the garniture completed by a pair of gilt brass urns of elongated ovoid form with sword, rose and quiver relief panels, waisted dodecagon chamfered neck, on brass bracket supports to rear, scrolling front supports, 12½in. (31.7cm.) high. (3)
A carved lime wood bracket, 18th / early 19th century, shaped demi-lune plate the underside with carved acanthus design over stepped gadrooned carving atop a scrolling and pierced cornucopia form base with floral and fruit swag, 22h x 25w in. (55.8 x 63.5cm.). * Condition: Some minor wear, overall good condition.
A George IV shaped circular silver salver, William Bateman, London 1829, with shell and scroll Chippendale rim, the plate later chased with a broad foliate, floral and shell border around a central crest and monogram, raised on three foliate shell bracket feet, 10¼in. (26cm.) diameter, weight 18.9 tr.oz.
An Edwardian silver sucrier and cream jug, Atkin Bros., Sheffield 1905, with lotus form body with everted rims, the sucrier inscribed 'From Wilkinson and Marshall 1883-1908' and single initial 'W' to both pieces, on four foliate bracket feet, the sucrier 4¾in. (12cm.) diameter, weight 9.5 tr.oz. (2) * Condition: Marks good. Both pieces in good condition.
A Chinese silver export tea caddy, late 19th/early 20th century, Wang Hing maker's mark and '90' purity mark, lobed quatrefoil form, the rounded panels with raised prunus tree design on matted ground, short cylinder collar with conforming lid, on four stepped bracket feet, 5in. (12.75cm.) high, weight 4.3 tr.oz. * Condition: Marks clear. Neck pushed slightly sideways which has dented one side of top face inwards a little. Otherwise good.
A Japanese maki-e lacquered caddy, Meiji period (1868-1912), rectangular form, removable lid with gilt decoration of two fan tailed tortoises on fine waved ground, a removable tray seated upon interior rim having stork and pine tree landscape decoration, supported on four bracket feet, the main interior finished with nashiji ground, exterior bearing pine tree and seascape design with storks in flight, 7¼ x 4½in. (8.4 x 11.4cm.), 5in. (12.7cm.) high; together with a conforming design maki-e lacquer miniature barrel form pot, 2¾in. (7cm.) high; and a three compartment cylinder form miniature Jubako, 3in. (7.6cm.) high. (3) * Condition: - Caddy: Tiny ding to front of lid and small semi-circular ding to front of base. Tiny flake from one corner of base. Very good overall.- Barrel form pot: Very good condition. May lack base.- Jubako: Very good condition.
An antique Tibetan bronze Buddha figure, miniature form, stood before a floral and foliate wreath style background flanked with smaller animal and figural consorts, on remains of wooden bracket, 4in. (10cm.) high, * Provenance: 'The Beasley Collection' (Henry Geoffrey Beasley, 1882-1939). By family descent to the grand daughters. ** Condition: Wooden base is split. Mount at back of bronze with old damage - one corner missing. Good patina.
A late 18th century Channel Islands mahogany cased half hour striking eight day longcase clock, the foliate engraved arched brass dial signed 'Edouard Renouf, Jersey' to the centre and with engraved subsidiary seconds dial at noon, date aperture at six, silvered Roman chapter ring and Strike/Silent to arch, floral and foliate gilt spandrels, twin train bell strike movement, the case with gilt ball and eagle finials over a stepped arched cornice on fluted columns, the trunk with arched door and moulded corners, on a plain plinth with bracket feet, 89½in. (227.5cm.) high.
A French 19th century tortoiseshell and brass boulle work bracket clock, Samuel Marti, eight day, outside count wheel bell strike movement, no. 15010, matching no. to dial backplate, mask sunburst pendulum, the 5in. engraved gilt dial with Roman cartouche enamel numerals, the pagoda top case with gilt bronze cherub surmount, four urn finials and gilt mask, foliate and floral mounts, the arched and glazed side lock door with decorative mounts of swags and a pair of doves, the clock interior with boulle scroll work back panel and chequered tile effect floor, on tapered foliate feet, 19in. (48.25cm.) high. * Condition: Small edge chip to enamel on numerals X and VIII. Two edge flakes to enamel on V and larger chip to III. Tortoiseshell throughout in good order, with just one small chip to top of front 'roof' section and smaller chip to back edge of left hand panel on 'roof. Small corner chip to back of top of case. Some crazing and craquelure in places to shell. Brass inlay in VG cd., with just minor lifting to right hand side of front 'roof' panel. Interior boulle inlay also VG. Older regilding to all metalwork.
A George III oak longcase clock, with arched and pillared hood, full length trunk door and bracket feet, the 30cm square dial having maker's roundel to the arch marked George Milne, Canongate Foot, All The Watergate, Edinburgh, silvered chapter ring with Roman hour and Arabic minute numerals, subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, eight day movement, 218cm high.
A Victorian lady's rosewood and satinwood inlaid sewing cum writing table, the breakfront top with an arrangement of drawers and recesses, tooled green leather top, over a single fitted frieze drawer with bracket below, raised on turned legs, united by stretchers, capped on castors, 69cm x 49cm x 107cm.
