Forty four numbered programmes although it was unlikely that number 26 v Leicester (midweek) was printed as the game was postponed due to clashing with Tottenham v New Brighton cup replay the same afternoon. 43 programmes in the red cloth bound volume, no covers, gilt inscription along spine. Contains 21 x League, 2 x Cup, 17 x Combination , Oxford University v Cambridge University, Cup second replay Charlton v Aston Villa and schools Islington v Edmonton. Good

BRITISH LIONS AUTOGRAPHS 1950 ONWARDS Outstanding collection of British Lions autographs and ephemera. A collection of binders containing many autographs of the Lions Touring teams 1950s onwards, includes all bar 7 of the 1950 team to New Zealand, programme v New Zealand at Auckland 29/07/1950 (creased and a little worn), Cardiff Rugby Club 75th Anniversary brochure and Commemorative Dinner Menu 22/9/51, 1955 Tour to South Africa, all autographs bar six, 1959 Tour to Australia/New Zealand all bar two, 1959 N.Z Tour Rugby Almanack, programmes NZ v Lions 2nd Test 15/08/1959 and 3rd Test 29/8/59, 4th Test 19/08/1959 with signatures on cover, all bar four signatures for the 62 Tour to South Africa, all bar 3 signatures for the 66 Tour to Australia/NZ plus programmes for 3 Tests v All Blacks and one for game v Otago plus Rothmans 1966 Tour Guide and two New Zealand issued fixture schedules. All bar three signatures are included for the 68 tour to South Africa. There is a complete set of signatures for the 1971 Tour to Australia/NZ plus Rothmans 1971 Tour booklet, programmes for the 1st, 2nd and 4th Tests v New Zealand and the game v Wellington. The 1974 Tour to South Africa has all signatures bar 1 plus programme for the game v Northern Transvaal. There is a complete set of autographs for the 1977 Lions Tour to New Zealand and Fiji, plus Rothmans Tour Almanac, plus programmes for all four Tests v New Zealand, ticket for Test at Carisbrook and programmes for games at Wellington, NZ Juniors, Auckland, Counties-Thames Valley, North Auckland, Bay of Plenty and game at Twickenham 10/09/1977 v Barbarians. Also includes souvenir magazines. The 1980 Lions Tour to South Africa has all bar three signatures and includes programmes v Natal and Transvaal. The 1983 Tour to New Zealand has ten signatures required and also includes Tour Almanac and programmes for all four Tests. All bar 13 signatures are present for the 86 Lions which was "The Tour That Never Was" as the Lions were due to visit South Africa and the Tour was cancelled. The Lions did play a Rest of the World XV in April 1986 to celebrate the Centenary of the IRFB. 18 of the 1989 Tour to Australia are still required and 15 of the 93 Tour to New Zealand. Programmes for six games including all three Tests are included. All bar four signatures are included for the 1997 Tour to South Africa plus 2 Test Match programmes. There are 28 signatures for the 2001 Tour to Australia, 18 are still required. Ten programmes are included, three of them Test Matches. There is also a folder of newspaper cuttings with match reports from the 1904 Lions Tour to Australia (Original cuttings) and other items include brochures covering the 1971 and 74 Tours and a farewell brochure for the Fourth Test in South Africa, 27/07/1974 at Ellis Park. There is also a 1974 Coca Cola Lions Tour booklet published in South Africa, a Lions 74 record (music), 1983 Lions Tour Almanac, and three tin badges, 1950 British Lions, Otago and Australian Rugby Tour. There are a few loose press photographs. The vast majority of all the signatures are on white cards and there is rarely an opportunity to obtain a collection containing so many signatures of Lions from the 50s to 80s. There are also many signed photographs, especially from the 80s to 2001 and a number of unsigned photographs from 50s Tours onwards. Obviously many of the older signatures are now sadly impossible to obtain, and this collection is a worthy addition to any British Lions enthusiasts collection. Good
STAN MATTHEWS SIGNED COVER 1965 Scarce item and very collectable. First Day Cover issued to commemorate the Sir Stanley Matthews Tesimonial game at Stoke, 28/4/65 with Stoke on Trent postmarks for that date, plus a Monaco FIFA stamp/postmark. The cover is signed by Stanley Matthews and 13 other players who took part in his Testimonial game including Di Stefano, Puskas, Masopust and Yashin. Also enclosed is a real press photograph showing Sir Stan being carried from the field after the game on the shoulders of Puskas and Yashin. Good
RANGERS / FRIENDLIES Two programmes and a newspaper from the two 1972 Friendlies between Rangers and Ajax. This should have been a Super Cup Final but was played as a Friendly due to Rangers being subjected to a one year ban. The Ibrox programme is official, Ajax is a Pirate plus a Rangers newspaper covering the game in Amsterdam. Generally good
MAN UTD 59-60 Twenty two home programmes and twenty three aways, 59-60. Only 5 of the home issues are without tokens, missing v Tottenham, many clear of writing, some folds etc. The away issues include both games at Man City (one abandoned) and Cup at Liverpool and Derby, missing League game at Leicester, usual faults noted, West Brom has split spine and some have had staples removed. Fair/generally good
NETHERFIELD v R.A.F Representative game played at Netherfield 16 Mar 1946, single sheet issue, slightly creased, small piece missing off bottom right corner (no text affected), no writing, slight marks. The R.A.F team included players from Huddersfield, Birmingham, Aston Villa, Coventry, Grimsby, WBA, Northampton etc. Fair/generally good

ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL Famous four part hardback book set, published circa 1905, "Association Football and the men who made it" by Gibson and Pickford. Each cloth bound book has circa 220 pages and all aspects of the game are covered with many photographic plates. Includes Club histories, results, editorial about the Amateur, Professional and International game, likewise about the players and the chief officials and administrators of the game. The formation of the Football League and the advance of professionalism is also substantially covered. The volumes are in generally good condition and make up a fascinating read. Generally good
CRICKET Hardback book (1896), The Annals of Cricket by W.W.Read, 268 pages. Read played for Surrey and this book is a detailed history of the early days of the game in the London area from 1700-1895 with scorecards, photographs, drawings etc and details of grounds, players, bat and ball evolution etc. A couple of pages have fairly small pieces torn off at the top but overall condition otherwise is good and we would categorise it as "generally good" in our opinion. A fine quality Swedish game relating to the Amundsen Ellsworth Nobiles North Polar Expedition of 1926, comprising 5 silver and 5 gilt “pieces” (originally 6 of each, the other 2 missing), 14 matt silver discs bearing depictions of characters and representing various weather conditions (fog, hail, wind, storm etc), a corresponding number of pin on ribbons with star shaped silver suspenders to which the discs can be attached to be worn as medals, so that each player represents a weather condition or similar, a gilt box containing a miniature Swedish flag, the box lid bearing a depiction of “Rex Poli” (King of the Pole), which is also shown on one of the discs, every piece bearing Swedish silver marks, and contained in their blue velvet lined cloth fitted leather covered case, the yellow silk lid lining gilt embossed with a crown and “C G Hallberg, Hof Juvelerare”, the lid with silver disc engraved “Spelet om Nordpolen” and inscription relating to the Expedition, the whole contained in its padded silk lined carton with gold embossed Hallberg mark on the lid.
