PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN BY THOMAS LOUGH, BERWICK, BIRMINGHAM PROOF MARKS CIRCA 1830 with rebrowned sighted barrels, signed on the flat, scroll-engraved breeches, scroll-engraved slender tang decorated with a game bird, signed scroll-engraved back-action locks decorated with differing game vignettes, highly figured walnut half-stock, chequered fore-end and grip, engraved iron mounts including trigger-guard and butt-plate decorated with further game bird scenes, silver barrel bolt escutcheons and brass-tipped wooden ramrod 70.5 cm; 27 3/4 in barrels Thomas Lough Junior is recorded at Bridge Street, Berwick Upon Tweed circa 1833.

A 16-bore double barrelled percussion sporting gun by Westley Richards, serial no. 2079, 30inch sighted damascus barrels signed Westley Richards 170 New Bond St London, in script, border and scroll engraved stepped locks signed Westley Richards in script and gilded, border and scroll engraved hammers, breech and barrel tang also gilded and decorated with a game bird, half stocked with chequered fore-end and wrist, border and scroll engraved gilt mounts, brass capped wooden ramrod. Retains all of its gilt finish to locks hammer and barrel tang, losses behind trigger guard, top of butt plate and ramrod channel.
