19th/20th Century French Games Compendium Set: Produced by JLR Paris consisting of various Games Dominoes, Draughts, Chess, Roulette, Mah Jong, Horse Racing Game, Card Games and more all contained in a wooden and Card 2 Draw Case each game having separate Boxes. Appears nearly complete with original Games (please note Box has some damage and Missing 1 Carrying Handle from Side all thing that can be addressed)
Rare WWII – Game Tak Tik Wehr Schach: 1940 produced by Verlag die Wehrmacht a German game based on the idea of ~Military Chess~ box intact in good condition but having some marks and remainder of a sticker with original rules (in German) present apparently complete playing pieces and board. This is the rarer reduced sized version of this game produced for the troops on the front line to play in their spare time. It is also unusual because the playing pieces are made from Bakelite. At this time board games in Britain were still using wooden pieces.
A 1954 World Table Tennis Championships programme held at the Empire Pool Wembley together with other programmes including a signed 1986 World Cup Snooker programme, signed by Dennis Taylor and Eddie Charlton, a 1970 Harlem Globe Trotters programme and a 19th century unframed French aquatint depicting a game of billiards/snooker. VINTAGE FLY TYING KIT: The fly tying kit of Shiela MacDonald, comprising of a good selection of early black salmon irons, sizes ranging from 1 -6/0, mainly singles with up turned eyes in various old paper packets assorted materials including a Jungle Cock Cape, various wildfowl & game birds, small pack Indian Crow Sub feathers etc. assorted threads, tools, Farlow Hardy and other paper hook scales for trout and salmon sizes, Ogden Smith small card boxes, Hardy Box, good historical assortment, c/w provenance. Note: "Shiela MacDonald was the first female Ghillie in the UK; she worked big estates in the Scottish and Northumbrian borders in the late 30s and 40s. See image for complete extract".
REELS: (2) Edward Vom Hofe 4.25" ebonite/nickel big game multiplier reel, extension handle fitted over original, leather thumb pad, central hole to foot, backplate engraved "AHC" and a Pflueger Templar 5/0 ebonite/nickel big game reel, fitted with Pflueger Williams star drag assembly, twin handles, ratchet and free spool lever, foot stamp 500, good, in wood packing case.
REELS: (2) Pair of Hardy Fortuna 6" big game reels, each fitted with brass and alloy rim brakes (lever missing to one), twin reverse taper handles, original 6 screw feet, constant check and star drag mechanisms. Both generally good, feint hairline crack to brake assembly rear rivet – otherwise good.
