SHEF WED - FA CUP 65-6 Wednesday reached the FA Cup Final in 1966 and every game was away from Hillsborough. This is a set of programmes plus other items from the Cup run . Away programmes at Reading, Newcastle, Huddersfield, Blackburn, Semi at Villa v Chelsea and Cup Final at Wembley v Everton. Also includes ticket and songsheet for the Final, creased ticket for the semi-Final together with a pirate programme for the Semi-Final published by Starkey. Finally a community singing songsheet for the tie at Blackburn is enclosed. Some minor faults. Generally good

1903 BRADFORD CITY Bradford City v Gainsborough Trinity. Very scarce 4-page souvenir card match programme for Bradford City's first ever home game played Saturday, 5 September 1903 at Valley Parade, Bradford. Bradford City were formed in 1903 and replaced Doncaster Rovers as members of the Football League Division 2. Valley Parade was previously the home to the Manningham Rugby club from 1886 until 1903, when they changed codes from Rugby Football to Association Football and became Bradford City. Restored along spine, slight scuffs to back. Fair
WORLD CUP 58 Set of 36 postcards , one for each game , issued in Sweden for the 1958 World Cup. Colour postcard issued for 24 group matches, 3 play-off games, 4 x Quarter Finals, 2 x Semi-Finals, 3rd/4th Place play-off, Final and Tournament. The colourful cards feature a match action colour drawing and venue details and are effectively first day covers for each game.. Reverse sides have match details, a World Cup franking and date stamp over Swedish World Cup postage stamp. Housed in plastic sleeves. Rare to obtain the complete set. Good
ROSETTES Twenty excellent condition football rosettes , worn at the game and then lovingly preserved by a gentleman who attended 18 Cup Finals between 1958 and 1979. Also included from his collection are a West Ham 1975 Charity Shield rosette and a 1976 Manchester City League Cup Final rosette. The 18 FA Cup Final rosettes are Bolton and Man Utd 1958, Liverpool 1965, Everton 1966, Tottenham and Chelsea 67, Everton 68, Man City 69, Chelsea and Leeds 1970, Liverpool and Arsenal 71, Arsenal and Leeds 72, Fulham 75, Manchester United, 76, 77 and 79 Finals. Condition is very good as the gentleman stored them carefully. Superb collection. Good
PAUL SCHOLES - MAN UTD SHIRT Match worn Paul Scholes Manchester United short sleeve red shirt. The shirt was worn by Paul Scholes v Manchester City on May 5th 2007 when United won 1-0 . United won the Premier League that season. The shirt was obtained by Michael Johnson who played for City at the end of the game and he has confirmed this in a note which comes with the shirt. A photo of the two players during the game is also enclosed with the Lot , Scholes is shown wearing the shirt. The shirt has Scholes 18 on the reverse with Barclays Premiership flashings on each sleeve.. The front has the United badge on the left breast, AIG as sponsors and the Nike trademark on the right breast. The shirt is being sold by the vendor to raise funds for a relative with motor neurone disease. The shirt has white v neck collar and white edgings to the shirt sleeves.. Good
EVERTON - BRENTFORD 1939-40 Exceedingly scarce Everton 1939-40 truncated season home programme v Brentford, 26/8/1939, the only home game played by Everton before the season was abruptly terminated by the outbreak of the Second World War. The game was drawn 1-1. Everton were destined to remain as official champions for another seven years until the 1946-47 season was completed when Liverpool took over the title. Staple removed. Good
EVERTON - WOLVES 1938-39 Everton home programme v Wolves , 8/10/1938 , Everton won 1-0 and although early on in the season this game effectively cost Wolves the title. If the score had been reversed , Wolves would have won the title on goal average. Possibly ex bound volume, condition is good. Good
LIVERPOOL AWAY Two Liverpool away programmes, at Sheffield Wednesday 17/11/45 and at Wolves 31/5/47, crucial League game which Liverpool won 2-1 to go top of the table, replacing Wolves being the final game for both sides. At the time one point separated the top four teams. Slight folds, scores noted. Generally good
LIVERPOOL IN EUROPE Two programmes and four tickets for Liverpool European games, Programmes are the 1981 European Cup Final and away at Bayern Munchen 22/4/81, tickets are for the 1981 European Cup Final v Real Madrid in Paris, home v FC Koln 3/3/65, home v Anderlecht 25/11/64 (tear, creases) and a fourth ticket which is a Kemlyn Road Stand ticket but not known which game.. LIVERPOOL FC PHOTOS Collection of photographs , most of which include Jack Balmer who played for Liverpool between 1935 and 1952. One shows him on tour with Liverpool in 1948, some head and shoulders of him plus him playing cricket and presenting Darts trophies in 1954., also included is a signed photograph of Billy Liddell and a more modern 11" x 9" photograph of Ian St John leaving the pitch after a game against Leicester which could well have been the Cup Semi-Final at Hillsborough in 1963 judging from the elation on the face of Gordon Banks and the despair on the face of St John. Fourteen photographs in total including a couple of duplicates, most are postcard sized, a few have press stamps on reverse, some are smaller . Also included is a lengthy letter written to Balmer from a Liverpool supporter praising his attributes which is probably late 40s, early 50s. Generally good

Includes 1911 (superb photograph but a 1935 reprint, one of the best photographs of the Crystal Palace venue with the game taking place), 1912 and 1913 both showing spectators in trees around the ground but more modern reprints, 1914 Cup being presented to Burnley (1947 print), 1923 showing the white horse on the pitch, probably a later reprint, 1931 original, , 1935 original showing Wednesday running round the pitch with the Cup, 1937 ( 1967 reprint Ian McColl collection ), 1939 original match action, 1946 original, Derby with the Cup, 1947 Charlton with the Cup-original, 1952 original, Newcastle score, 1954 original, match action, 1955, Manchester City hit the post (two identical, one is a wire photo), Newcastle score first minute, large photo of Newcastle being introduced to Duke of Edinburgh-original, 1959 Forest score, original, 1961 Brown saves, original, 1962 match action , original, 1963 Man United score (Herd), wire, 1964 Preston after the game , wire probably, 1968 x 4 all showing West Brom celebrating-original, 1970 x 3 , match action , probably wire, no captions etc, and 1972 Leeds score , wire. The daily Spanish football magazine ''AS'' dated 22 November 1975 which previews the game, includes previews and lists the full team line-ups and also match details headline at the base of the front cover. 1976/77 UEFA CUP Juventus v Manchester United played 3 November 1976 at the Stadio, Comunale, Turin. Official Juventus ''Calcio Film'' weekly club issue which previews the game. This issue was released a couple of weeks before the game but includes an extensive preview with players pen pictures, team line-ups and a write up on the history of Manchester United etc over various pages. RUGBY LEAGUE 1933 LONDON Scarce Rugby League programme, London Highfield v Rochdale Hornets, 11/10/1933 at White City Stadium, London. London Highfield only played for one season in London as attendances were not high enough to make the venture a success and the club previously known as Liverpool City and Wigan Highfield returned to their roots becoming Liverpool Stanley 1934-50, Liverpool City again 1951-68 and Huyton 1968-84 following which they appeared with various names. The programme was only their third home game and all home games were played on Wednesdays. Sixteen page programme, one pencil team change noted. Good
