Rare 1950s British Lions Rugby Programme (A): for Ceylon v British Isles RFU Team programme, this concluded the British Lions tour to New Zealand and Australia in 1950 and on the return home the British Lions played an unofficial international game against the Ceylon (Sri Lanka) National Team, winning 44-6. Vertical and horizontal crease folds, some sight thumb stains to covers, otherwise (F/G) - also note that this was the first ever British Lions Team made up from International players from the home countries. Extremely rare.

Fine Welsh `The Outside Halves 1951-2002` signed limited ed. rugby display: comprising a maroon, velvet and gold braid rugby cap, embroidered with the date `1951-2002` to the peak - together with a matching maroon velvet pennant embroidered `Outside Haves` together with the 6 Welsh Fly-Halves who dominated the game to incl. Cliff Morgan, David Watkins, Barry John, Phil Bennett, Jonathan Davis and Neil Jenkins - together with number of caps won. Bordered by 6x signed coloured prints, ltd ed. of only no. 17/100, fully mounted in a window box display case, c/w coa, overall 39"x35".

C. Zenit in Leningrad and became the 1st British Professional team to win a game in the Soviet Union - single folded sheet (VG).

Angelica Garnett (British, b.1918) - a Victorian glazed bookcase, circa 1860, the base panels later painted by Angelica Garnett, a member of the Bloomsbury Group, the panels depict Wine, Dead Game, Eggs and Fruit, 223 x 158 x 45cm (88 x 62 x 18in). Angelica Garnett (nee Bell) was born in 1918, the daughter of Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, and niece of Virginia Woolf. She is a writer and painter and married David Garnett in 1942. She spent her childhood at Charleston, Sussex. Provenance: Hilton Hall, Hilton, Cambridgeshire. This Lot is from the Hilton Hall Collection.
