An incredible c1920's French ' Compagnie Industrielle du Jouet ' ( CIJ ) made ' Apple Picker ' marble run / game. Comprising of a wooden tree, figure and base. When stacked with marbles, one knocks the pickers arm and starts off the run. A marble runs down the tree, into him arm and the figure then deposits the 'apple' into the tinplate scoreboard to the base. Full working order. No makers marks, but stamped ' Made In France ' to base. Charming antique toy. Measures approx; 40cm tall.

1960 Gt Britain Rugby League World Cup Shirt and Cap - No.17 long sleeve shirt was issued to and worn by John 'Joby' Shaw (Halifax) together with the Gt Britain velvet cap. - The shirt comes with Gt Britain Crest c/w "World Cup 1960" inscribed below - Shaw was originally selected as second choice hooker to Tommy Harris (Hull) and was assigned the squad number 17 for the tournament. Harris was injured during the first match against New Zealand and was replaced by Shaw for the two remaining games. This shirt was worn by Shaw in the final cup winning game against Australia. Both teams went into the third and final deciding match level on four points each and Britain won the World Cup by beating Australia 10-3 for the 2nd time in three years after winning the inaugural World Cup in 1954. Note the lot comes c/w print out with details of the 1960 Rugby League World Cup, links to "Youtube" showing Shaw wearing the shirt together with a memory stick with World Cup Archive Footage

Scarce 1972 Friendly Football Programme Jersey Wanderers v Wolverhampton Wanderers dated 31 January 1972 at the Springfield Stadium, St. Helier with a 7.30pm kick-off, 18 pages with no writing. Good. NB: The Jersey club were formed at an early date of 1894 and are a senior club in the Channel Islands, However, in this game, and with 3 guest Wolves players in their team, the score was 9-0 to the away team.
