A 19TH CENTURY 12 BORE SIDE BY SIDE MUZZLE LOADING SHOTGUN the lockplate engraved each side with images of a hare and a game bird, 118cm overall length Condition Report: Both hammers go to half and full cock, both barrels have minor rust speckles. The butt shows wear and tear through use. There is slight loss to the stock where it meets the right barrel, but very small. I would say pretty good condition overall. A 3rd Quarter 19th Century Ivory Fan, the monture plain, excepting where the spray of roses painted onto the double silk leaf extends down onto the gorge. The verso is plain. Guard length 30cm; A Mid-19th Century Ivory Fan, carved, pierced, and gilded, the decoration to the upper guards and gorge in bands and quite complex. The double paper leaf depicts three young ladies and two gentlemen playing some sort of game in the garden. The reserves show water and a rural landscape. The verso is fairly plain with a simple river scene with trees. Guard length 27cm; and An Early 19th Century Ivory Brisé Fan, very elaborately carved and pierced, the tips with intricate flowers, the central section with four carved vignettes and one larger cartouche, all with figures, every section of the reserves extensively carved with flowers. Two guards and twenty-two inner sticks. Guard length 18.5cm (3). Fan 1 - The leaf has suffered, most folds either splitting or have split. Fan 2 - Slight loss to the gilding, which remains generally bright. Slight wear to the leaf at both sides. A repair attempt visible from the verso, where it can also be seen that a gorge stick is stuck to the guard. Fan 3 - Missing sticks to the left, the vignette is incomplete. Damaged tip to one central stick. Ribbon defective. One stick to the right missing a small section, two others have slivers missing

An 18th Century Ivory Fan, with a simple monture, the guards having some mother-of-pearl inlay, including a heart, and piqué with steel. The gorge is plain. The double paper leaf has foil appliqués on the leaf, including shells, birds, winged cherubs and flowers, restricted to the borders leaving a plain cream centre. The verso has a pastel painting of a traveller and a flower seller. Guard length 27cm; and A Mid-18th Century Ivory Fan, with carving to the upper guards and linear gilding to the gorge. The double paper leaf, découpé, is painted in the centre with a couple seated each side of a table, playing a game. To each side a further painting, one of a young girl and the other a young man. Interspersed with the découpage are rows of roses climbing up poles. The verso is painted with three simple outdoor scenes. Guard length 26.5cm (2). Fan 1 - The upper guard is detached from the leaf. Splitting to a few folds. Grubby. Fan 2 - Losses to and dulling of the gilding. Some splits to the folds, some repaired. Some small stains seem from the verso.

Frost Fair Printed Upon The Thames January 29th 1740: A Rare 18th Century Fan, printed and hand coloured double paper leaf mounted on simple plain bone sticks, showing the merchants and activities on offer on the Thames when iced over. At each side a description of the stall is allocated a number, those numbers corresponding to the number marked next to each tent. Included are a printing tent, the game of skittles, a drinking tent and a ''cat in the basket'' booth. Guard length 26cm. Together with a period red leather fan tube with hinged lid. Some staining and splitting/repair to the folds, best seen from the verso. This has particularly affected the side areas listing the activities. Leaf quite dry.

FIFA World Cup Europe Group 1 England V Denmark 5th December 1956 at Molineux with an attendance of 54,083. Historic England footballer signatures obtained by Cliff Edwards in his capacity as scout for West Bromwich Albion and on WBA letterhead. Signatures include Duncan Edwards, Tommy Taylor, Roger Byrne - 3 Manchester United players who were tragically to lose their lives in February 1958 in the Munich air disaster. The result of the game was 5 - 2 to England with Tommy Taylor scoring a hatrick and Duncan Edwards scoring twice. Roger Byrne was Manchester United Captain winning 33 caps for England, Tommy Taylor 19 caps for England and Duncan Edwards 18 caps and regarded by many as the finest footballer of his day. Other signatures include the England Captain Billy Wright of Wolves, Tom Finney of Preston, and Stanley Matthews of Blackpool, other signatures include the goalkeeper Ted Ditchburn of Spurs, Defender Ronnie Clayton, Fullback Jeff Hall, Mid fielder Jimmy Dickinson and forward Johnny Brooks. The Signatures are in blue pen and Tommy Taylor has signed twice. An incredible piece of Football history which has been in the possession of a then 12 year old boy ever since who has now decided to share the piece and offer it for sale. (1) [L]

Together with an incomplete Edwardian poster advising railwaymen on 'How to Avoid Accidents' ('Have a thought for "Safety." Don't trifle with risks. It's better to be safe on the job than sorry in the hospital. And don't create danger-traps for others; it isn't "playing the game."'), published by Waterlow. (2)
