A strong Football League XI included Hardy, Crompton, Pennington, Meredith, Fazakerley and Vizard and their opponents were a combined XI from Notts County and Nottingham Forest.. MAN CITY - QPR 2012 This item , in its own way, is an integral part of the recent history of Manchester City. Goalkeeper jersey worn by Paddy Kenny of QPR when Manchester City won the Premier League title in 2011-12 with Sergio Aguero scoring the winning goal twenty seconds from the end of the game. QPR needed to avoid defeat to be sure of staying up but Bolton lost at Stoke and QPR were saved. The black goalkeepers jersey is signed by Sergio Aguero on the back in silver marker and by Paddy Kenny on the front and comes with a hand-written letter from Paddy confirming that it is the shirt that he wore in the game. A unique item and a memento of the most dramatic end to a season. Good
WOLVES - LIVERPOOL 47 Wolves home programme v Liverpool, 31/5/47, Wolves were top of the table one point ahead of Liverpool who were in fourth place with Man Utd who had completed their fixtures and Stoke in between them. Final game for both Wolves and Liverpool and Liverpool won 2-1 to go top and two weeks later Sheffield United defeated Stoke and Liverpool were Champions by one point. Slight creasing, no writing. Generally good
SHEFFIELD UNITED - STOKE 46-7 Sheffield United home programme v Stoke, 14/6/47 , June and the Division 1 Championship title still to be decided. Liverpool were top but had completed their season, Stoke were two points behind but if they won this game they would be Champions.. Sadly for Stoke, they lost 2-1 and finished fourth, it was that tight at the top. Minor creasing, League table updated. Generally good
THAMES - WATFORD 1930-31 Thames AFC home programme v Watford, 16/2/1931 and a relatively scarce victory for Thames who won 3-2 according to the score on the cover. Division 3 South game, Thames were only in the Football League for two seasons, 1930-31 when they finished twentieth and 1931-32 when they were bottom and left the League. Folds, score noted. Fair-generally good
WEST BROM 1938-39 West Brom bound volume, 1938-39, no covers, contains first team and reserves home games, volume stamped inside "Withdrawn West Bromwich Public Libraries".364 pages, including issue 46 End of Season Summary. Contains all First team home games including Cup v Manchester United, Reserves games include Leeds, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool and Everton and there is an "A" team game v Banbury Spencer. Bound in blue cloth with gilt inscription. Good
MAN UTD RES - WOLVES RES 58 Single sheet Manchester United Reserves home programme, v Wolves Reserves, 1/2/58 and the last game played by the Reserves before Munich. Several of these players were on the plane that was involved in the tragedy at Munich 5 days later and sadly Bent, Berry, Whelan and Pegg lost their lives and Blanchflower never played again. Slight folds, token intact, no writing. Generally good

ROTHERHAM - LEEDS Testimonial brochure for John Buckley Testimonial with game against Leeds included dated 13/12/93 plus another six page programme for the same Testimonial game dated 31/1/94. Both are signed by Buckley. Also included is a Nigel Johnson Testimonial brochure signed by Johnson plus a Rotherham United issued Players pass for the game and a ticket for his Game. Generally good

WARTIME 1943 Very scarce issue of "The Malcolm Club" wartime monthly bulletin for the RAF airmen in the Mediterranean. Dated December 1943, the four page magazine includes a detailed match report of a game between an RAF XI and the Army played at Belvedere Stadium , Tunis, 20/11/43. game ended 1-1 and the teams are listed. The players included Beattie, Geldard, Bryn Jones, Chedzroy and several Scottish players. Scarce item. Worn along folds, fair
1964 EUROPEAN CUP Red Star Belgrade v Glasgow Rangers (1st Round Play-off) played 4 November 1964 at Highbury. Two rare issues of the twice weekly issued Yugoslavian football newspaper ''Football'' dated 3 November 1964 (issue number 649) and 6 November 1964 (issue number 650) 3 November issue previews the game and has the headline on the front cover ''RED STAR - RANGERS'' and includes full team line-ups. 6 November reviews the match with reports, pictures and full team line-ups. Both have horizontal folds. Generally good

YOUTH CUP FINAL 57-58 Wolves home programme v Chelsea, 1/5/58, Youth Cup Final second leg. Only two days previously Chelsea had won the first leg 5-1. In this game , Wolves had levelled the tie by half-time leading 4-0 and they eventually won 6-1 on the night and 7-6 on aggregate despite Chelsea having Shellito, Bridges and Greaves in the side. Farmer scored four for Wolves and Durandt two, Greaves scoring in the 86th minute for Chelsea to set up a tense finale. Slight fold, score, scorers noted. Fair-generally good
CRICKET - JACK SHARP Five postcards of Lancashire Cricketer Jack Sharp who also played football for Everton and England. Sharp played 300 times for Everton scoring 68 goals. And won the County Championship with Lancashire in 1904, playing every game in their unbeaten season. He played cricket between 1899-1914 and then post-war , captaining Lancashire between 1923-25 . He won Cup Winners and Runners Up medals with Everton and was 3 times a Championship runner-up. The postcards all show Sharp in cricket poses. Generally good
MAN UTD - GRIMSBY 1939-40 Manchester United home programme v Grimsby , 26/8/1939, first game of the truncated 1939-40 season as World War 2 resulted in national football being suspended and regional football taking over. Regrettably the back cover is missing although the programme is otherwise generally good with the front cover having a photograph of Old Trafford as it then was before German bombers re-arranged it. WORLD CLUB 1967 Booklet issued by Racing Club (Buenos Aires) for the World Club Championship game v Celtic, 1967 in Buenos Aires. Not officialy a programme but was on sale before the game and includes Celtic team group and pictures of the two stadiums where the two games were to be played. many colour pictures and statistics and the only official item available in Argentina. Good
GLASGOW - EDINBURGH 1937 Forty page booklet issued by the City of Glasgow in May 1937, official programme for the Coronation of King George VI and many celebration events took place. Teams are listed on page 30 in team formation for a game between Glasgow and Edinburgh played 12/5/1937 presumably at Hampden Park as there is a two page photograph of the stadium in the centre pages of the booklet. Glasgow team included three from Celtic, two from Rangers, Queen's Park and Third Lanark and one each from Clyde and Partick whilst the Edinburgh team had 5 from Hibernian, 3 from Hearts, 2 from St Bernard's and one from Leith Athletic. Superb booklet measuring 8" x 10" with full colour covers showing their Majesties on the front and Royal Pageantry on the back cover. Very good
