RAF - ARMY 1944 Scarce single sheet programme for a game between a RAF XI and an Army XI, Christmas Day 1944. Venue not known but as the programme cost 1 anna, it is certainly the Indian Sub-Continent. Kick off was 10am , probably due to the heat and many players came from BAFSEA (British Armed Forces South East Asia). Slight fold, no writing. Good

FOOTBALL 1940 Scarce single sheet programme for a game between Lymington and District and Follands (an aircraft engineering company in Southampton). Played on Easter Monday 1940 in aid of charity, Follands included players with League club attachments coming from Barnsley, Portsmouth, Aston Villa, Southampton (Dodgin and Bates), Chelsea and Charlton whilst Lymington included 7 players from the Northumberland Fusiliers. Slight folds, no writing. Generally good

1972 RANGERS / WOLVES IN ITALY 1972 ECWC 1/4 Final Torino v Glasgow Rangers played 8 March 1972 in Turin. The Turin daily football newspaper ''TUTTOSPORT'' dated 8 March 1972 includes headline front cover coverage, full match preview and team line-ups to page three inside and programme style team line-ups to the back cover. Also reviews the 1972 UEFA Cup Juventus v Wolves played in Turin the evening before on 7 March, includes large picture and headline coverage to the front cover with full match reports and team line-ups on page two. No programme was produced for either game. Generally good
GOLF-RYDER CUP 1953 Official programme for the 1953 Ryder Cup between Great Britain and the United States at Wentworth Golf Club, October 2nd / 3rd 1953. The match , in those days was played over two days and the tie consisted of four foursomes on the Friday and eight singles on the Saturday. There were 10 players in each team with Europeans not, as of yet , eligible to take part. Normally the States won quite easily and the 1953 contest was no different in as much that the US won by 6.5 points to 5.5 points. Each game was played over 36 holes. The programme is scarce and contains the order of play sheet for the Saturday singles. The programme has 68 pages and is in good condition. Good

Numerous players from League Clubs on both sides including Harkness (Hearts and Scotland), Bowan (Millwall), Vose (Man Utd), Smith (Arsenal), Collins (Kilmarnock), Milburn, Gadsby, Powell (all Leeds), Hume (Hearts), Christie (Blackburn), Burditt (Millwall) and others. A second game was played the same day at Field Mill, R.A.S.C v Rufford Colliery (North Notts League). Minor folds. Generally good
WORLD CUP 66 Two large b/w photographs from the 1966 World Cup, both are signed, one shows Alan Ball v Argentina in the quarter-final and is signed by him, the other shows Geoff Hurst heading the ball v Argentina , the same game and is signed by Hurst. Both photographs measure 12" x 8". Good

Walkers XI included players from Swansea, Celtic, Spurs, Hearts (Walker), Kilmarnock, Hamilton, Crystal Palace, QPR, Portadown and Charlton. Full line-ups are shown for both teams, the regiment playing Maroon and Pink !!.. Fold. Generally good
ENGLAND 1945 Album page from the Sailor Brown collection, England team v Scotland 1945 at Hampden, 12 players including Matthews, Broome, Brown, Scott, Mercer, Hardwick, Smith, Swift, Soo, Carter, Lawton etc. Sailor (Bert) Brown played in the game and obtained the signatures. England won 6-1. Good

HUNGARY V ENGLAND 1954 Two Hungarian publications devoted to celebrating the Magical Magyars' 7-1 victory over England in Budapest on 23rd May 1954. The rare, larger than A4-size, weekly 'Képes Sport' magazine of the National Physical Education and Sports Committee in conjunction with the Hungarian Republic Advisory Ministry published in the days following Hungary's stunning win is filled with action photos and reaction, while the József Szekeres booklet entitled '7-1' and produced soon after has more on the game and features Ferenc Puskás on the front cover. Slight wear otherwise generally good.
THE THREE DEGREES- WEST BROM A special limited edition scale model of the 10ft high statue that will adorn New Square, West Bromwich. The statue will show Brendon Batson, Laurie Cunningham and Cyrille Regis celebrating a goal. The statue by Graham Ibbeson will be sited at the heart of the regenerated West Bromwich town centre to commemorate the impact and contribution that black players have made to our national game. This scale model of the original , bronze coloured , measures approx 42cm in height and width is approximately 28cm and weighs slightly over 5 kilos. Very good
RUGBY LEAGUE Two large press photographs showing Gus Risman playing his final match at the age of 41 for Workington Town in the 1952 Cup Final v Featherstone Rovers at Wembley. One shows Risman introducing the Workington team to Anthony Eden and Lord Derby before the game, the other shows him holding the Rugby League Challenge Cup after Workington won 18-10. Both pictures are in very good condition and measure circa 8" x 10". Also included are two Cup Final programmes, 1956 Halifax v St Helens (good) and 1957 Barrow v Leeds( folds, changes noted). RED STAR BELGRADE - MANCHESTER UNITED TICKET 1958 Scarce match ticket, Red Star Belgrade v Manchester United 5/2/58, European Cup. Ticket for the last game played by the Busby Babes before the tragic air disaster at Munich on the return journey to Manchester. The match ended in a draw and United winning through to the Semi-Final. The ticket measures approx 11.5 cm x 5cm and has match details and seat number printed on the ticket together with an official stamp. Slight creasing and folds. Ticket is intact with no paper missing. Fair-generally good

WELSH AMATEUR Collection of items relating to Welsh Amateur Football International, Eddie Davies of Llanelly. He was chased just after the War in 1947 by both Bolton and Derby but somehow it did not quite happen. This is a selection of items including correspondence from both clubs including a telegram from Bolton asking him to play v Blackpool 8/9/47. There are telegrams regarding his amateur selection for Wales v England 1949, 50 and 51 and further correspondence including a letter seemingly from George Robb (Tottenham) and a hand-written letter from John Charles stating that he could not play in a benefit game for Davies as Leeds were touring Holland at the time (April 1954). Interesting collection and includes official correspondence from Bolton, Derby and Glamorgan Cricket Club. Generally good
