Marsh N. : Death and the Dancing Footman 1942, 1st.Ed. Collins : The Crime Club. 8vo. Hb. + Dj. Original orange cloth, black lettering. Original dust wrapper in protective cellophane sleeve. CONDITION REPORT: Condition : Dust wrapper chipped with some loss from the head and tail of the spine, some small creases and minor areas of discolouration. Binding generally vg but with small patches of fading where there is dj loss. Some light foxing spots to the fore-edge of the text block. o/w generally quite clean and tight. A previous owner has written some informative (light) pencil notes on the fep relating to the game of 'CHARTER' which features in the novel.

A valuable resource to football historians, and genealogists alike, and offers a fascinating glimpse into the past to anyone interested in the game. Light wear to covers. Generally good.

City programme dated August 25th 1923 for Man City v Sheffield United, the first game to be played at the new ground, Maine Road, as City relocated from their previous home, Hyde Road. The programme is a double issue and covers the Reserves v Oldham Reserves 27/8/1923, 16 pages, fold and pencil score, scorers.. Generally good.
MAN UTD-OLD TRAFFORD. United returned to Old Trafford at the start of. the1949-50 season after wartime bombing of the ground forced them to play at Maine Road. This is a programme for the first game back at Old Trafford that season, the four page issue for the Practice games played on 13th August 1949, two games took place, both Reds v Blues. and in the Junior match Bent, Violett, Blanchflower and Jones of the Busby Babes took part. "Welcome home" noted on the front cover as the Club welcomed Supporters back to Old Trafford.. Minor folds , no writing.. Generally good.
MANCHESTER UNITED. Single sheet buff coloured United home programme for United "A" v Ashton United Reserves, 18/11/53, Manchester League at The Cliff, Broughton, midweek floodlit game, rather intriguingly the programme has printed upon it. "To Read-Hold programme to Light" , slight fold, no writing.. Good.
GATESHEAD. Five programmes, home v Workington 25/11/61 (FA Cup),. and home v All-Stars XI 29/10/62 in aid of Ashington FC, plus away issues at Stranraer 13/8/60 (Challenge match-Gateshead were attempting to be voted into the Scottish League after failing to gain re-election to the Football League in 59/60), Cambridge City 1/5/59 and early Northern Counties game at Stockton 4/3/61 (first season back in Non-League football for Gateshead). Some folds, most are free from writing.. Fair-generally good.
HULL CITY 46-47. Twenty home League programmes, 46-7 (missing game v Chester) , plus Cup v New Brighton and friendlies v Fulham and Bolton, most have been removed from a bound volume and have , usually minor, spine damage although issue v Barrow is missing back cover. Includes game v Lincoln City 31/8/46 which was the first game at the newly built Boothferry Park (fold, rusty staples, team changes, spine markings). Some issues have team changes etc .. 23 issues in total.. Fair.
