A 19th Century Chinese / Oriental Qing Dynasty blue & white plate. Round plate glazed in white with blue glaze decoration. The central scene depicting children playing a game using a blindfold & taunting one another with a fish. Decorated around the lip of the plate with traditional repeated pattern including bat motifs. Condition; some minor damage / repair to rim & some original glaze defects. Measures approx; 20cm.

An early 20th century Mahjong set - bone-faced tiles and scoring chips within an Oriental three-drawer lacquered box with top carrying-handle. One scoring chip missing. (20cm wide)Condition Report: One swan neck handle is missing and the lacquered is in good general condition overall but the lacquer has dulled down significantly, there are some marks commensurate with age. It is noted that going through the tiles one scoring tile is missing but all the other pieces are present. The game has been clearly used and played with and as such the some of the bone surfaces exhibit darkening and grime. The set also includes instructions.

'We had a nice long visit from Elizabeth before Xmas and she is looking so well in spite of all the hard work she has to do. She is so happy that I feel quite at peace about her'.
