A Clive Dunn (Corporal Jones) signed game - ‘DAD’S ARMY’. A 1970’s Strawberry Fayre by Denys Fisher board game ‘Crazy Capers Out On Patrol As Our Redoubtable Heroes Prepare To Hold Off The Hun! A DB 11 bore percussion sporting gun by Forsyth & Co, number 4450, 45” overall, twist barrels 29” with platinum vents, the top rib engraved “Forsyth & Co, No 8 Leicester Stt Leicester Sqr. London”, the locks engraved with game birds, rabbit, scrolled foliage, dog tooth borders, and “Forsyth & Co. Patent”, the finely figured burr maple halfstock with chequered wrist, vacant silver escutcheon, engraved steel mounts including trigger guard with game dog, and replacement ramrod. GWO & C (butt plate missing, the barrel with some light pitting and one small spot of deep pitting). Plate 11
An Austrian DB 14 bore percussion sporting gun, 45¾” overall, browned twist barrels 30”, the top rib engraved at the breech with initials “E” over “GC” in very small foliate oval; the back action locks engraved with foliate scrolls, game birds feeding, and geese by a lake, with scroll engraved hammers and pivoting safety catches; the nicely figured scroll engraved GS mounts including scrolled trigger guard, with sling swivels and replacement brass tipped ramrod. GWO & C (extremely well executed contemporary repair to stock fracture). Plate 11
An Impressive quantity (some 1,000’s) of white metal War Game figures by Newline, Navwar Productions Ltd, Elite Miniatures, Hinchcliffe Models, Lancashire Games etc. Mostly ‘in-the-white’ unpainted, and some as kits. Scales include 15-25mm depicting two eras, Napoleonic and WW11. British, British allies, Grenadiers, Prussians, Dragoons, Russian Dragoons and French, for a Waterloo scene, comprising figures, mounted figures, separate horses and mounted figures plus cannon (various) and accessories. Also WW11- assorted vehicles, tanks, tank transporters, various trucks, armoured cars, half-tracks, motorcycles, etc, various scale, plus a quantity of very small figures. Some items still packed, but the majority are loose. A number have been well painted. VGC- a few AF. Some parts may be missing. Plus a few plastic WW1 style German and British aircraft. Viewing recommended.
